  • Versatile and Great Sounding

As reviewed by Jim O. on 1/30/2010

I've owned this guitar for over six months and it's become my favorite. Great sound and the combination of a single coil with HB pickups provides loads of versatility. The HB really growls when you dig in. I've played guitars of all prices, and you really can't beat the quality and sound of this one for a very affordable price.

  • Great Tele...

As reviewed by Pedroyyz on 2/17/2011

...as long as you go in knowing that you will need to have this guitar set up at least...you're good. I've had the White Squier Tele SSH from India for almost 3 years now and love it--after having it set up, the fret edges smoothed, and a bone nut installed. It's my favorite Guitar. I just got the Black Squier SH, and I can tell that I'll love it just as much after having these same things done to it... I also changed the bridge pup on my SSH which hummed a lot...this git has the same pup there, but doesn't have much hum...perhaps the other was wired wrong? Anyway, the pups in this SH seem nice enough for me, (or for now)...I'd like to add a Bigsby or a Stetsbar Tremolo to this one eventually...bottom line...VERY NICE GUITAR, but the factory set up isn't good...a quick trip to my guitar guy and all will be well. (btw...I have played lots of Classic Vibes, and I like these Vintage Modified Indian models better...just sayin'...the neck, the tone, the feel...)

  • Great Tele

As reviewed by Allens Grove Slim on 8/3/2007

I bought the Squier Modified HS Tele a few weeks ago and it's a fine guitar. I've been playing guitars since the 60's and this compairs nicely to some of the best guitars I have played. The bridge single coil has that Tele twang and the hunbucker in the neck has a jazzy sound. The neck is smooth and fast. The ends of the fret wires could use some dressing however. The action is fine also. I play Blues 3 or 4 times a week in bands and jams and have had two nice comments from fellow musicians on the sound. So it says Squier on the head and made in India on the back. Who cares when it sounds and plsys so well.
