UNBELIEVEABLE!

This sounds, looks, and plays better than the $1100.00 American Fender Jazz I had! The pups are HOT! The hardware is decent for the price. Tuners have a nice tight feel but are smooth. The Volume and tone pots have a viscous feeling to them when you turn them, cushion like. The sound is a Jazz Bass. Electronics are quiet with both pick-ups on equal and even with the tone knob all the way up! If you want a good Jazz bass period, get this one and save about $700.00. AWESOME BASS!

don't miss this bass!

I have previously played a Yamaha fretless bass and decided to look around for a fretted instrument for a different sound. The Fender Squire not only looks great,but plays like a dream. It stays in tune even after "punishing" playing. The retro looks have gotten compliments and it looks like a Fender Jazz Bass I saw in the store which costs hundreds more. In fact, one salesman couldn't tell the difference. The price won't break the bank either--always a plus. When looking for a bass, don;t miss this one.

The Best Squier Out There

I got this bass as a back up to my Fender American J Bass, and i have to say i play this much more. It has the best fret intonation of any squier i've ever played. It is very durable and incredible tone, not to mention a great look. My only problem is the pickups make some noise when they aren't at the same volume.

The 70's are back!

This is ultimate bass: giving superb sound quality, and great looks. This is my first bass, but I don't think I'll need another one. This bass is much better than the Precision Bass, the J bass can make much better sound, and also make the same sound has the precision bass by playing with the tones. This bass is great, and look at the price...it's $279.99! That means you're getting a great guitar for almost nothing, what a price! I'll give you advice for this bass, BUY IT, you won't regret it!

Don't Go Cheap: Save Up to Get This Bass!

Long story short: I decided to learn how to play Bass, never thought I would need to spend too much money to get started, since I wasn't trying to join a band. $300.00 and 3 Basses later, I learned quality does matter. After playing a couple of basses (in and out of my budget)I decided to get a J Bass. I walked into my local Guitar Center and the guy working the bass area showed me the Affinity J Bass, then 70's Modified J Bass. I recall reading that you will know the Bass for you by the way it feels when you play it. Man is that a true statement. I sat down and started working the fretboard. It wasn't until the salesman came to check on me that I realized I had been playing for an hour! Even though it cost me about $100.00 more than I planned to spend, it was totally worth it. Whether you think this Bass is good or not, it is very true that you have to love your bass to really want to play it. I am sooo in love with bass. Great job Fender and Guitar Center!
