• Serious Tone!

  I went to GC today to purchase a 2X10 cabinet. This bass was sitting next to a 2X10 G&K Neo cabinet, so I plugged it in. The G&K head was set flat...and I was blown away by what I heard! I decided to run a MM Sting Ray through the rig with the same settings. The MM was not even close! The next contender was the Fender Geddy Lee Bass. The sound got worse! Next was a Fender American Standard Bass. This still did not have the feel or tones I got from the Squire. Last, I plugged in the Fender Marcus Miller 4. It came close, but still did not have the bottom that the Squire had. Needless to say, for $299, I took her home! I have owned every bass known to man. I still enjoy the boutique basses. However, the boutique basses do not alway cut through the mix like a good ol passive Jazz Bass. When you are in the market for a bass, one must remember that no two basses are set up the same. This one was done perfect. I do own a modified Jazz bass that I have put EMG active Pick ups and Leo Quan Bad Ass II bridge on. I don't think that I will need to do any modifications to this little beauty! Remember, no two basses are ever the same! The new Indonesian built Squires are built better than those before. Stay in the Groove!

• Best bass I own

  I own three basses, Dean Edge 09, custum Dean Metal Man V, and this bass. The edge 09 started having electrical problems, so I picked up the Metal Man, but the inlays kept peeling off. I'm certain that this bass will never have either of those problems. The bass sounds great. Good metal growl if you focus the tone on the bridge pickup, and jazz tone that will definetly please your music teacher if you mix the two pickups. And finally, it just looks and feels great. I could play this bass for six ours straight (and I have). My favorite piece of this bass is the mirrored scratch plate covering the tone control nobs. If you practice, you can flash a dim light into the front rows of the croud, and look cool doing so. Another thing I like about this bass is how many girls you can get with it. Total chick magnet.

• Amazing, the best sound from any bass i've played

  When it comes to overall punch and power of the notes, this bass delivers it. I even tried Fenders and felt less satisfied with the sound than I did with this bass. This bass is amazing. The way I see it, any brand can make a good quality instrument, and this is one of Squier's best for Jazz. I totally recommend this bass for anyone who wants a Jazz bass, beginner or intermediate alike. Plus the groovy look makes it a great instrument for playing alongside your band. The feel is amazing, your hand feels like a spider in its web with this bass. The body feels solid and as if it can take a beating, but its not like you're gonna toss it or anything. This bass is great.
