  • Powerful lows in a small package

    First off, this thing is flawless, beautiful finish, can't believe it's so nice for the price.The neck and setup are very sweet. I don't think I have to touch a thing. Where will you get a NEW bass for the price that's this awesome? its light and small , no more banging into things.

  • These pickups are on a Squier?

    So while I was on tour with my band, we stopped at a music store to pass time before a show. I picked up this bass to make jokes about it to my drummer and play smoke on the water. I was super surprised when I started playing it, how nice it felt. I've played basses from the 500 dollar range to the 2000 dollar range, and something about cheap basses normally turn me on to play them. Something about if I break them on stage by lighting them on fire or throwing them 30 feet in the air and not catching them, makes me not worried. But even for a cheap bass, it felt great. It's super light and a fast neck. I plugged into the new headlite head from SWR and was blown away from the sound. I can't believe Fender made good pickups to put in a Squire. I only give it a 4 out of 5 because the wood on the body is so cheap feeling but it's a must buy.

  • Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special SS - Great beginner bass

    I am just beginning to play bass, just using CD lessons, etc. The reviews I read on this bass impressed me so I ordered one. I am not disappointed. The set up was good right out of the box, no adjustments needed. The light weight and the short scale make it easy to play. Guitar Center's service is first rate, fast shipping and easy transactions. The closest GC is 50 miles away in Fort Collins so ordering by phone makes it easy, and they did beat a competitors price, and I know the local GC people are great to work with should the bass ever need adjustments. I would recommend this bass and Guitar Center to anyone.
