NEW REVIEW - Great overall guitar for the price

I picked up this guitar used and was impressed with it considering the price range. The frets are smooth and not hand shredders like so many cheaper line guitars. The fit is better than i expected it to be for a squire and the p-90 knockoffs actually sound good clean or with distortion. Rock and metal actually sound great threw the stock pickups. The neck has a great smooth feel for faster playing. I did buy some after market chrome plastic covers which did cancal out some of the hum from the single coil pickups. I never thought i would play a telecaster for metal music, but hey it sounds great.

Wonderful Telecaster

Nicely done Squire! This is a great guitar. The medium jumbo frets are nicely dressed,no sharp edges. It has two Duncan designed P90 pickups that are really hot.I got the vintage blonde finish. The black custom pickguard is really unique.First class craftsmanship all around.Seperate volume and tone for each pickup. If you want a nice Tele you can't go wrong here.

worth the money

I got this tele a few weeks ago and it's all i ever looked for. This is no ordinary telecaster, the pickups on it sound amazing, it has a nice heavy body. The neck is nice and firm with a lot of action. Also has a nice skunk stripe on the back. And it looks awesome. It's good for a new guitar player or an experienced player!!! Over all this is a really good guitar. Squier made a good product. You will get your money's worth.

not a regular fender

I received this guitar three days ago, and I'm completely satisfied with it. It came in perfect shape, just a minor scratch on the back. With just a little action and intonation adjustment, it's ready to go. I really love the sound of it. The P-90's give it a nice, punchy sound to it. They can handle stuff from blues to hard rock. The neck feels comfortable, and lets you play pretty fast, the tuners are solid, and all the knobs and switch are perfect. It's a little heavy, but that's pretty much the only bad thing to it.

Not bad....

Had my eye on this one for a little while and needed a backup guitar. Box was torn open on the side and the packaging was very subpar. No scratches though. The neck pickup cover loose on r/s. The guitar feels cheap, like its plastic or something but weighs almost the same as my American Standard Telecaster. The neck does NOT have a finish (naked wood). According to Warmoth, that nearly demand you put a finish on the neck to prevent warping or twisting. I'm sure this will be an issue in the future. Plugged in, it is a little noisy via pickups and when you touch the body and knobs. Resonate, I guess. Playing - the sound of the guitar was actually very surprising, considering all the negatives above. It plays nice and has a strong punch but is also very smooth. I'm definately keeping it. I just wish it didn't "feel" so cheap.
