A uniquely styled bass with humbucking pickup.

The Fender Mikey Way Signature Mustang Electric Bass Guitar has a number of unique features. Mustang basses have a short scale, or neck length, that's ideal for younger players or guitarists who want to adapt quickly to the bass. Even players with large hands appreciate the tone and speed of fingering that the Mustang allows. • I love this bass!

As reviewed by Michael L Brody on 2/21/2012

I'm a huge Mikey Way/My Chemical Romance fan, and this bass is beautiful and fun to play! It has a shorter neck, which is perfect for smaller or beginner players. If you like Fender basses, go for this one!

  • More like gold

As reviewed by David DeRooy on 12/23/2012

Firstly, I'm not a 'My Chemical Romance' fan, they're not bad I just never got into them. I've been playing bass for years in a couple modern rock bands around town and have found that, even though I have long fingers and arms, I enjoy the comfort of a short scale bass. Being a fan of Squier basses, mainly the Vintage moddified series, I was delighted to see they released a line of Mustangs. I was drawn more to this model over the VM models due to it's looks and pick-up style. It says "silver" but mine looks more gold, still quite striking. I hardly put it down lately, it's very comfortable and fun to play. The pick up is great, it has a wonderful full tone to it, not too "tinny" and not too "low" sounding, very "punchy". I haven't really played with the tone knob, I just turn it all the way up. I play in D standard (tuned down a whole step) and have no problem with tone clarity, as I've had on other basses. This is a great bass that I'd recommend to anybody who wants to stand out and sound good doing it, from beginer to pro Squier is the way to go!

i loved it. the bass worked perfectly. the only problem i had was that one of the strings vibrated a little. but that can easily be fixed!
