  • Well, Well, Well....

As reviewed by Jim NoSwim on 11/24/2010

I picked one of these up almost new but barely used for a steal, It had been modded with a SD 59' in the neck and a SD JB in the bridge and the tremolo had been blocked. I was amazed by the sound - all kinds of tones in this thing. I have D'Addario 9's on it which sound good on this guitar, but I'll put a set of Dunlops on when the time comes. I use a VOX VT30 and a Marshall AVT 150 with a Groove Tube upgrade halfstack and both work very well. I've heard these without the mods done and they are nice, but I would suggest the pup upgrade and defiantly change the strings to better ones.

  • The Best

As reviewed by Thomas on 6/24/2010

I bought this guitar when I was sorta low on cash, and have had it for 3 years and its taken a beating, everything from excessive use of the tremelo bar to slammed against my halfstack repeatedly and it never comes out of tune and sounds great too. I would recommend to anyone looking to buy a guitar for the first time or needs a cheap guitar..

  • Right on

As reviewed by Jared on 1/9/2007

I got this guitar for christmas this year. I thought it would be a good choice because it is a renedition of the Fender Jaguar/Jazzmaster. It's a beautiful guitar for it's price and the duncan designed pickups dish out amazing tone, not too thick and not too twangy. As others I'm sure would suggest, replace the factory made strings, and it will need intuning, but that's an easy fix with any online guide. The wammy bar with throw it out of tune as any guitar will so don't use it unless you have too. The tone knob shifts the tone a little sharp from 0 to 2 or 3 and then stays pretty equal from 3 to 10. May need to raise pickups and rase or lower bridge to a comfortable level. Sounds very good clean and and pickups have good distorted output. Overall great guitar for a good price and will aim to please any audience you play it in front of.
