  • Amazing

As reviewed by Shawn on 12/9/2010

Having only ever 3 guitars, this is the best guitar I've owned. I bought the blue (which is a bit lighter in color in person than it appears) and it looks great espically having bought it in this color for a nod to George Harrsion's '61 Sonic Blue Strat. The neck has a consistent smoothness and no sharp or dead frets anywhere and has a nice feel. The pickups give that "Strat Tone" and will probably not need upgrade. As a side note, the pickguard/knobs don't look "aged" unless you compare it to white hardware. All I can say to sum it up is buy it and you won't be sorry. Again as a side note, I bought it online sight unseen and th customer service was great too, no complaints there either.

  • Blew me away

As reviewed by Habitz on 1/2/2011

I bought this guitar just yesterday and havent even had a full day to sit down with it. I bought it in pearl white. In the picture the actual finish looks a lil darker than the pickguard but the guitar itself is the same colore between the finish and the pickguard, kinda like an arctic white but i love it and i still have no regrets. It was a 2 hour drive to go and pick it up seeing as how i sent it from the online store to the nearest guitar center to me. I tried to have it set up the same day as i picked it up but the tech wastnt ganna be in till way later and i needed to start my 2 hour drive back home. So all in all i wasnt able to get a set up on it includeing the string changeing and adding another spring to the tremolo system. So i took it home bone stock and began to just tune it.After tuneing it for about 15 minutes or, sounds long i know, but you gatta let the strings stretch and what not. It stays in tune very very well, the action is perfect outta the box, the pickup height might need to be adjusted a lil and the intonation was perfect. All in all this guitar came outta the box bone stock and plays perfectly. It sounds amazing and i couldn't of asked for a better pick. I took a chance not haveing played one or ever sat down with one but it payed off big, i recommend this guitar to anyone begginer to intermediate even experts looking for a guitar to sit around with. I love it. The duncan designed pickups are amazing and the satin finish next is amazing...very recommended.

  • Great guitar for a great price!!!

As reviewed by Brian on 1/4/2011

Not having the option of trying one of these out in person (none stocked locally) I went out on a limb and ordered it. It arrived this morning and i got to play around with it for a bit. First thing, the intonation and action were perfect right out of the box and with a couple of initial tunes (stretching strings) its holding a tune beautifully. I'm upgrading from a Fender Starcaster and i knew it should be a considerable upgrade, but wow i was amazed at the difference, the neck is smooth and comfortable and plays like butter! I can't say enough about the quality of the neck on this instrument. I've played gibson customs and a couple of USA Strats and honestly, i prefer this neck, thinner than that of a gibson and just as smooth and easy playing as a top dollar strat. The pickups are a great balance, exactly what i was looking for. Punchy powerful clean tones with a bluesy sound and somehow it maintains that stability even with good distortion! I am fully impressed. Plus 22 frets, a feature from Fender that apparently costs an arm and a leg! Any body who says that Squier can't make a decent guitar hasn't picked up one of these baby's! (granted alot of their guitars are kinda crappy lol) Ordering it, I was worried about the finish being blemished or with imperfections. I am happy to say it is imaculate, not a scuff or scratch on it's beautifully finished white body, which the olympic white is more of an off-white color and the aged plastic parts are only noticable when contrasted by white parts. Solid buy for beginner to expert. Thanks for all the reviews on this guitar btw, its what sold me on this model and I couldn't be happier! From experience, goes great with a Marshall MG30FX and Boss ME-25 multi-effects pedal!
