RIPPIN" GUITAR

This is one cool guitar. It's really got a truly amazing tone that you can't find anywhere without actually getting the Hot Rails pickups. It's got 22 frets instead of Squier's traditional 21 frets, and I really like the vintage/modern vibe it gives off. Pretty good sustain, and the trem's real cool to mess around with. It's great right out of the box, and I can't say enough about the tone. It's got your traditional Strat tone, and it also packs in an unorthodox scream which is great for all the rockers out there. Too bad I could only give it five stars...

That's SOME value, lemme tell ya.

Man, compared to the other Squire Strats I've played, this one sounds positively ROCKIN'. If you're looking at getting a Squire, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not taking a good look at this one. There are better guitars, of course, but never at this price range.

Can't go wrong.

Please allow me to say that this is not a "normal" review. The reason is that I have 28 guitars of all kinds and price and 6 amps. So with all those choices, I go through the agonizing process of looking for THE tone, mixing up guitars, amps, etc (every guitar player's never ending search). So after several days of that, I end up keeping THIS guitar and one other out to play, it always ends up so. So on to the guitar, simply put, a great value. The pickups put out this big fat sound that cuts and grinds, sort of like the holy grail of driving the tubes of an expensive amp close to breaking up, but it comes from the guitar instead, amazing! It's not as shimmering bright as my other rare & expensive strats, which after playing this one, sound too thin (back to the closet), and don't forget these are humbuckers so, no noise! By the way, the "other" guitar varies, but almost always ends up being my Big Apple Strat, now called the double Fat Strat, 2 Duncan pearly gates that sing forever, would not trade it for anything, plus some pedals and an old Peavey Classic 30. For this price? get this guitar, there's no way you can lose!

Super Awesome!!!

This guitar is the best! It plays like it looks and I love it. This thing rocks from what I have experienced with it. The wammy bar is totally awesome and it sounds great. I would suggest this guitar if you were either an expert or beginner.

Blues Monster

I have had this guitar, in black, for about a year now and this thing is awesome. I have been playing for over 30 years and have had many Strats including the early 90s Strat Deluxe with the Lace pickups. This plays just as nice and has a great sound for 1/4 the cost. I play through a 1961 Gibson Falcon Tweed and a Fender Blues Deluxe. When played through the Fender on the gain channel this thing rings and breaks up the tubes beautifully. I have decided that I am going to buy a white one for my backup guitar.
