Classic vibe with modern refinements.

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass is an electric bass guitar that delivers the true P Bass experience. Big, wooly tones jump out from Precison '60s traditional split single-coil pickup, loaded with Alnico V magnets. The comfort contoured body fits like a glove and looks beautiful. Featuring a 20-fret vintage tint gloss maple neck with the modern playability of a 9.5" neck radius and vintage-style frets - you'll have no problem holding down the bottom end and pounding out round thick tones on this bass tone monster!

Classic Vibe!

Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia. Known for their excellent vintage-quality look, feel, sound and construction, those early Squier instruments and their Fender-branded counterparts are now highly sought-after collector's items revered by guitar enthusiasts as models of "getting it right" while aiming at value-conscious players. The Squier Classic Vibe Series reflects that simultaneous commitment to excellence, value and 'vibe'. Mirroring classic Fender designs, the Classic Vibe offering is not intended to be era or vintage correct — but rather to impart the "vibe" of a classic Fender design. Each model has a distinctive feature set—all adding up to one classic-looking instrument. Great sound, vintage looks, unbeatable value—Classic Vibe!

  • A True Classic

As reviewed by Rickey Ratt on 6/15/2010

I have played for 42 years. I own a 1968 Fender P Bass. I decided to upgrade to a more modern bass. I saw this Squier Classic Vibe Bass in Guitar Center and decided to play it for fun. WOW was I blown away. The feel of the neck was almost perfect. The sound was as good as my 68. The fit and finish was excellant. Squier might have been a joke for a few years, but they are on top of their game now. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

  • Classic Vibe 60's P in Fiesta Red

As reviewed by Bubbalou on 6/7/2010

The day I saw this bass hanging high on the wall at the Arlington Guitar Center I really liked it and the day I came back to play it I fell in love with it and bought it. This is no American Standard bass but what it is equals and in many cases surpasses the MIM in terms of tone, feel, and looks. This is a gorgeous bass whose fit and finish are excellent. It has good sustain, feel, low action and was intonated nicely. Putting DR High Beams Stainless Rounds made it incredible sounding. The electronics (even though it has the smaller alpha pots) is very good and soldering is first rate (unlike some of the lesser expensive models I have had). This is incredible bang for the buck. I agree with others that this bass should have the Fender name on it as it is that good.

  • Amazing Bass Indeed!

As reviewed by Rick Edwards on 12/30/2009

I used to play bass in many bands in Portland, OR from the late 60's until I left the business in 1983. I played a fantastic 68 Telecaster Bass forever, sorry to say I don't own it anymore. This summer I decided it was time to get a bass. This one blew me away. I don't think that you could come close to anything for twice the money. LOVE IT!!!
