Product Information

Classic vibe with modern refinements.

The Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s is an electric guitar with a look to die for and plenty of '50s 'blackguard' Tele vibe! The Vintage Blonde over pine body totally resonates and you'll be hard-pressed to tell whether or not you are holding a premium ash body guitar! Of course pine is not a foreign wood to guitar making or to Fender history for that matter. Early single and dual pickup Esquire guitars were made with pine bodies.

Featuring a 21-fret vintage tint gloss maple neck with the modern playability of a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets and outfitted with a custom set of AlNiCo III single-coil pickups, this Squier Tele has tone that can really hang with the big boys. You get clear note separation even in distorted modes and dynamic response with a strong midrange and high end bite for leads!

Classic Vibe!
Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia. Known for their excellent vintage-quality look, feel, sound and construction, those early Squier instruments and their Fender branded counterparts are now highly sought-after collector's items revered by guitar enthusiasts as models of "getting it right" while aiming at value-conscious players. The Squier Classic Vibe Series reflects that simultaneous commitment to excellence, value and vibe. Mirroring classic Fender designs, the Classic Vibe offering is not intended to be era or vintage correct—but rather imparting the vibe of a classic Fender design. Each with distinctive feature set combinations—all adding up to one classic looking instrument. Great sound, vintage looks, unbeatable value—Classic Vibe!

nice guitar

i have had this guitar for one year now and am pleased with it's preformence. this guitar is extremely durable and can take a lot of damage. the strings stay in tune most of the time unless u leave in the heat for a while like most guitars. while this is not the best guitar ive ever play it is certaintly my favorite. for such a low price it has a very nice classic look and is an all around good guitar. it has a few kinks like the knobs are a little delicate and while its not an american fender it plays like one. i would give this guitar a 4.7 out of 5

Leo's Heritage

Since 1968 I've been a professional musician and have recorded for EMI,RCA,etc. I've had tons of good brand guitars so I believe I know a little bit. Recently my son bought a Custom Shop Strat from Fender and I was amazed by it's quality. Today I went to the Fender dealer here in Santiago and tried one of these Squier Classic Vibe Teles and was truly surprised by it´s craftmanship ... well it was like some kind of Custom Shop Squier. Although made in China I had to recognize chinese people have 5000 years of fine motricity on their backs and americans about 250 years of freedom. The guitar was too perfect for the price. Thanks to Squier CEOs for being faithful to Leo's philosophy: Make it simple but well done.

best twang for for the buck

I don't normally write reviews, but the Classic Vibe 50's tele deserves recognition as best twang for the buck in the industry. Fit and finish are superb, and you could gig with it right out of the box! I'm a nut about set up, and this guitar comes set to near perfection. The vintage Alnico 3 pickups are sugar sweet, and well balanced. If the 50's thing starts your motor, this thing will get you where you wanna go.

great guitar

I own this guitar, and have for a little less than a year. I gotta say, I love it and have few complaints. The front pickup is warm and rich and is great for rhythm playing or electric folk. the back pickup has that classic tele sound and with a bit of distortion you can get some good rock sounds. my only problem is the jack output has just fallen out twice. not an expensive repair, but a bit annoying. I dunno if it happens to all the models or just mine, but its worth looking into. but overall a great guitar for the price.
