  • Awesome beginner bass!

As reviewed by Greg on 8/17/2014

I have been playing guitar 5 years and wanted to learn bass for awhile now. I love looping and was tired of doing baselines with a guitar and having a bass now it is so much better. I can't believe this bass sounds this good. After setting the bass up it doesn't buzz at all. Tuners hold very well and for this price, it is a great beginner or even experienced bass guitar to have for a bassist or guitarist.

  • Yay for Fender!

As reviewed by John on 11/10/2014

For the longest time I lost hope in Fender. I bought a Squire bass back in '05 when I was in Iraq. It came in and it was terrible. The craftsmanship was rough and it played just as bad. When I got back to the states I sold it and got a 6 string bass from Rondo Music. I swore I would never go back to Fender. This past weekend I went to Guitar Center in Plano, TX and picked up a few basses to play with. One of them was this bass. without plugging it in I fell in love with it. The playability was no different than the Vintage Modified series. The color is spectacular. Thank you for having other options than tobacco burst, traditional red or black. I love the colors! It's a solid instrument and would recommend this to any bass player, from beginner looking to start up or even an expert looking for a backup. I'm looking forward to working with this bass even more than my Ernie Ball.

  • Seriously Fender has really stepped their game up.

As reviewed by Nicolas Greenhalge on 8/2/2013

I know automatically you are thinking...yeah its a squier affinity. you are probably rolling your eyes as read this. Though im sure you would like to hear the truth. made overseas fender products are really making their marks. This bass is amazing. I plugged it in at the store and let me tell you, it sang like a bird! begging, intermediate even a pro player, i suggest this bass for you! Its not even 200 dollars. even if you aren't a huge fan you should still pick this bass up because it is solid as a rock.
