  • Great Starter Bass

As reviewed by Mike on 2/9/2009

This Bass is a very good starter bass, and is worth the price for rookies. The bass is deep and is loud and sounds clean. I liked it alot when i played it and it will always be my back up bass.

  • You get more than you paid for!!!

As reviewed by John on 6/11/2011

I bought this bass as a practice bass. Something I could bang on at home while learning new songs. That way I could keep the wear and tear to a minimum on my expensive basses. This bass sounds really good, not great, but really good. The neck is really nice and the frets are nice and smooth. Even though it's made in China, the quality (especially for the price) is pretty damn impressive. Throw on a better bridge and a better pickup and you've got a bass that could easily do gigs. Like I said in the review title, you get more than you paid for! Good job Fender, I mean Squier!

  • Great. Perfect for anyone, except someone who mistreats it.

As reviewed by BSWaas on 7/30/2009

This was my starter electric bass. I had been playing upright for a few years and I needed an electric. This bass has lasted me four and a half years. It would have lasted longer, but I did not realize how much the bass meant to me until I had mistreated it too much. Before it craped out...again, my fault...it was great. You can get a great sound out of it and it is good for anything. I am now tuning it up...Active pick-ups, fretless neck...I'm giving it the respect it really deserved. On that point, why bother going for the real fender, if the Squier is perfectly good.
