The Best Starter pack!
I've been playing for a while now and I have plenty of other equipment now but this was the first electric package I ever got. For starters, this is the best package out there. The amp WILL last you for life it is one of the most suprising and durable amps I own. it packs quite a heavy punch with excellent distortion and plenty of volume to practice a irritate your neighbors as well (hehe). And once you get better, just put new pickups in the guitar to improve the intonation and you're set!!!

Really Worth It
I got this guitar 5 years ago. I can't say enough good things about it. many people think that squier guitars arent very good. And they are probably right. But when you're starting out this is the way to go. This set is cheap and sturdy. My guitar still holds a perfect tune. while the pickups are a little noisy on high distortion its nothing to worry about. The only thing that isnt great about it is the Whammy Bar. It throws the whole guitar out of tune. its also fairly hard to use, i took mine out 4 years ago and havent put it in since. I recommend this set up for any new musician wondering if the guitar is for them.

This Set Rocks!
I bought this kit a short time ago, and I love it! For anyone starting out on the electric guitar, like me, this is a great deal! A few of my friends told me that Squiers aren't very good, but for starters its a great deal! The amp is really loud for a small thing. I broke the high E string after one day, but that was because I tuned it too high. It's a good thing they have extra strings! The DVD is REALLY helpful. I would recommend ths kit to anyone just starting out on electric guitar!

Great way to get started
I bought this in March and it introduced me to the world of music. I played it everday until I sold it because now I play with Gibson SG's. The amp was pretty loud for a little thing. The only thing I wish it came with a book on how to re-string a guitar for newbies. I broke every string except the low E and high E. But like I said I played with it everyday until I had the money to upgrade.

Not bad for beginners
I have a similar value pack to this but with a 10W amp instead. I think it is a good start up set for any new electric quitar player. I play the acoustic for many years and have decided to move onto electric and I am not disappointed with this one. I wanted to start out getting a good reliable brand, instead of getting the Target/Walmart types. I was deciding between the Fender and Yamaha which both had good value starter packs. I chose the Fender because of its history in guitar making. So far the Strat has performed to my expectations, although not high at this beginning point, but I am sure the Strat will be a good companion in years to come!
