These are really great tuners. Hold the string in just like they say they will but the only real problem is that they can't take strings any bigger than twelve gauge. It's a problem for me because I need Thirteens for playing in drop A. I've never had a problem with a string falling out though. Wonderful tuners that have made tuning sooo much easier but don't get them if you want bigger than twelve gauge strings on your guitar. When I bought my ESP Eclipse they came stock and I'm really glad they did. Don't get me wrong. They are great just no Thirteens.

I should have shopped longer. I wanted black, locking tuners and jumped the gun. Not the smoothest of machines and there is a bit of slack in the gears which is annoying. And about the black, thats only in the right light.. more like a brownish-purple. Gotta live with them until I find others as they have already been installed. I had my GC tech install them immediately upon arrival. Wishing I hadnt..

Do you HATE changing strings...

By J.H.

from Albany NY

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

...I shure know I do. I always hated wraping strings around a tuning peg. With Sperzels, all you do is pullthe string through, tighten the knob, tune, and play. These tuners can be compared to a locking nut, which keeps the guitar in tune better. They are VERY helpfull if you have a tremelo. There is a downside though, you have to drill a new hole and get a template. If you dont want to do that, take some pliers and break of the little stabilizing pin and tighten the tuners very tightly from the top

Awesome tuners make changing strings a breeze!

By Robert

from Indianapolis, IN

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

A friend of mine gave me a set of these to try out, so I installed them on my B.C. Rich Mockingbird SE Evil Edge. Not only do they keep my guitar in tune MUCH better than the stock tuners EVER did, but they made changing strings a piece of cake. Just thread the string through the hole in the post, tighten the lock down, and cut off the excess. Tune it up, and off you go. I'm notorious for breaking strings on stage, and this makes the scenario of having to do a quick string replacement during a show MUCH easier! Now I see why James Hetfield of Metallica (one of my guitar heroes) swears by these things. Several more of my guitars will be getting upgraded to Sperzel tuning machines in the very near future!

Nice strong machines

By Brad

from Denver Colorado

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

These machines are great. Very strong feeling and heavy duty, but not physically "Heavy". They don't add much sustain or weight to the guitar, so I would have to say that these are discreet. Very nice look. I am thinking of doing all of my guitars with these.

AWESOME

By MICHAEL

from DALLAS, TX

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

i have never used these before but had heard a lot of good things... bought them... they are awesome... they keep the strings in tune unlike anything i have used before... i replaced the tuners in my epiphone SG that would not stay in tune more than 10 minutes and it is like night and day... i can get a size .054 through them but can NOT get .058 through them... no problem though.. only 2 guitars i have use .060 and .070 bottom end strings....

Luv these tuners!!

By Chris M

from Medford, Ma

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

Installed a set of these tuners in chrome on my PRS SE. Took about an hour as I simply just used a dremel and drilled the stop peg holes to set them in place. They fit perfectly and look awesome. Tossed on a new set of strings in just minutes I was tuned up and playing. I am so glad I bought these tuners. I seriously recommend them if you are in need of locking tuners.

      Tuning problem solved!

      By Gene Gordy

      from Corinth Texas

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

I own a Dearmond M75 and it is a beautiful sounding guitar except it wouldn't stay in tune. I was able to install the Sperzel tuners myself in less than 30 minutes and now that guitar is HOT! When I took the tuners out of the package I noticed the superior quality in them compared to the stock tuners I removed. No play, no wiggle in the post and changing strings is done in no time. I can't wait to put them on my Tele!

      By WILLIAM TYNDALL

      from Ocala Florida

Comments about Sperzel 3+3 Trim-Lok Tuning Machines:

Just purchase a used ARZ800 that has these installed ,it will be going back today due to these as one is out of line {not a lot but}they are bulky and having been drilled out are not practical to replace with other machines such as the far slicker Gotoh locking tuners I like ,I will find another trans red ARZ800 tho
