Sperzel 6-In-Line Left Tuners are precision-machined, have sealed-in lubrication, and are awesomely easy to use. These tuners help you to keep your axe in tune with a rear thumbscrew that locks your strings in place.

For locking tuners, the Sperzel 6-in-line tuners are hard to beat. Very easy to use and the post heights are stepped for the 6-in-line set to create the needed pressure on the nut. In many cases, you can eliminate the use of the string tree on the headstock (the little "T"s that you put the E, B, G, and D strings under to hold them down). The tuners feel a bit stiff at first use but they smooth out with the second or third restring. The install is a bit tricky as a locating pin hole must be drilled in the back of the headstock to anchor the tuner since there are no screws, only the screw in bushing. Depending on the tuner you are removing, in some cases screw anchor holes will need to be filled and the tuner shaft hole may need to be enlarged. This is where an experienced guitar tech can save you the heart ache of splitting your headstock when you opt for the old power drill to open 'em up. I have installed many sets and have not had a problem with any tuner in any of the sets. Even if you did, Bob Sperzel stands by it. Good stuff (bass and guitar tuners! This holds true for Sperzel bass tuners, as well.
Around 1979 my guitar tech put Sperzel Locking Tuners on my 1976 Strat. I hated the original fender tuners. I still have the Strat and the Sperzels are still as good as new. Money well spent I would say.
I was really bummed when my old tuners came in the mail and then they wouldn't stay in tune. I really did go through a lot of toil to put them on and paid a lot of money for them. But all for naught. I finally told myself to get locking tuners and as I sat looking through them these ones stuck out. I was going to buy some the saturday after christmas but, lucky me, got them on Christmas. I just put them on today and to my surprise my strings are still in tune. These are definitely the best tuners i've ever had in my line of peavey, fender, and samich guitars. i most recently put them on my Peavey EXP Predator and they look great and didn't change my guitar's tone. Thank you Sperzel.
