Awesome bass (I've had mine for two years). You can pay more for a bass, but you will likely not find a more playable instrument. Fine craftsmanship and a flawless finish on this Korean built bass. The style and finish are a personal taste (mine is the "holoflash), so it won't appeal to everyone. What you won't get is a fancy exotic wood top and fancy inlaid fret markers (only tasteful dots). The only thing I can find fault with is the "Spector locking bridge". It is short and I have had trouble setting intonation on the e-string (can't make it long enough). The saddles have no physical connection to the base, so when you loosen the locking screws and tilt the bass, all of the saddles fall out on the floor. There is no screw to make the adjustment, so to move the saddles you must use some sort of drift to knock them into position (I use a chop stick and hammer to accomplish this.) While I have not attempted to remove it, the bridge appears to be recessed into the to-p of the bass, so to replace it would mean routing out the top of your $1000 bass, or filling in the void (which may have string height implications, not to mention asthetic considerations.) All that being said, this shortcoming does not hinder me in recommending this bass highly.
