The capabilities of this mixer are unbelievable considering the price. A decade ago it would have taken ten grand worth of outboard gear to match what you get here for $550. The sound quality is great - not just for a cheap digital mixer. For ANY mixer. Watch the tutorial videos on YouTube (it takes an hour or so to watch them all) and you'll be off and running. We use this mixer to rehearse a 9-piece horn band and it works great. Everybody controls their own monitor sends. We assign the headphone jacks as AUX outputs so we get six total AUX sends. Other than somewhat noisy microphone preamplifiers, the sound of these mixers is very good for the price and the user interface is brilliant. However, after replacing the mixer three times in the space of a year I've had to conclude that the execution is fatally flawed. The first mixer never left the initialization sequence. The second two had chronic network connectivity problems (both wired and wireless) that required rebooting mid-gig. Firmware updates mitigated the problem somewhat but after a disappointing encounter with the Soundcraft support team I decided that I could no longer risk relying on this product.

Hiss when phantom power is turned on.

Comments about Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer with Wi-Fi Router:

I have been using it for two weeks and started with program audio sources and an SM58. No problems.
Within the last week we hooked up Podium style condensor mics which required turning on phantom power.
The mixer hissed so loud, I thought it somehow turned on a pink noise generator.

I hope it is just a bad unit and plan to bring it back to Plymouth Meeting soon.

Comments about Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer with Wi-Fi Router:

Is good from the stand point that it has lots of features, true Lexicon reverb etc. The problem is that everything and I mean everything is on a different page. Make live sound mixing a bit problematic. Also we had one unit doa out of the box and had the power supply go bad on another within 2 months. Soundcraft doesn't tell you anywhere the settings you need to change in your computer to connect with Ethernet and even the Soundcraft distributor rep doesn't know how to make it work with an external WiFi. The built in hot spot is iffy at best.

Comments about Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer with Wi-Fi Router:

I am the sound guy, guitar player, and singer in my band, so i love the simplicity of this mixer. I had the behringer xr18 before, and although its a killer mixer, the soundcraft sounds amazing with little effort. Its easy to get a good sound from all the band with minimal tweaking. Very warm sounding board. Great for the band that wants to throw down and sound good with minimal effort. Cons are that hooking up external router is a little tricky. Other con is that it does not multi track record.

Comments about Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer with Wi-Fi Router:

It took six months for Soundcraft to replace a broken Wi-Fi antenna. It has been one year since Windows 10 was introduced and there still isn't a software update for it. Too bad since it is an exceptional performer.
