The Soundcraft GB4 Mixer sets a new standard in affordable high-end mixing. The 32-channel mixer is laden with capabilities and quality features: GB30 mic preamps, reengineered circuit topology and EQ designs, rigid steel chassis, high-quality vertically mounted fiberglass PCB channel strips, individually nutted potentiometers, angled rear panel that allows patching from the front, and more--above all, the quality, engineering, and design for which Soundcraft is famous.
The GB4-32 is 32-channel, 4-bus console designed and constructed to ensure rugged reliability under stressful tour conditions. All input modules have individual vertically-mounted PCB's fitted to the steel chassis.
The mixing console is designed for performance venue installation or small touring system applications. The dual-mode topology allows it to to be used for FOH or monitor duties, with fader control of group or aux outputs.
Although largely conventional in layout, the Soundcraft GB4 does have some unique mechanical features. The rugged steel chassis has a sloping rear connector panel so that it is easier to configure from in front of the desk, while the integral power supply has a link option for an external backup PSU.
4 mute groups allow several channels to be muted simultaneously. Another unique feature is the limiter on a set of dedicated record outputs that makes it easier to create a stereo recording of the mix.
The Soundcraft console also features an output matrix with 7 feeds to 4 outputs, fed from the group buses and main L, R, and C (mono) outputs.
The GB4 Mixer offers a comprehensive set of functions in a small and cost-effective footprint, and delivers the high performance and reliability you expect from a Soundcraft mixer.

This board is phenomenal! The sounds are very clean and the board, although large and possibly confusing, is very easy to run once given time. The board has multiple mute groups which is great for muting pre-amp mics all at once. Also, look closely and each channel as a LED read right where the sound man is looking, very convenient not having to solo a channel to check it's peak. Soundcraft has outdone themselves and I recommend this board to anyone looking for quality and can afford a little bit more expensive board!
A really solid console. I recently installed this console in a high school worship room that seats 700. It makes a great addition to that system which features sls line arrays and labgruppen amplifiers. The preamps are probably the best part of this console, these preamps are very clean and have a good deal of headroom. 8 aux sends is a definite plus. Console can handle extremely high levels in and out with little to no distortion. Switchable pre/post-fade direct outs(great for aviom system). EQ is very responsive and works exactly how an analog eq should. Feels very good and sounds super clean. Definitely recommend over the Allen and Heath and Mackie consoles. I gave it a 5 because it exceeded my expectations audio quality wise, I wasn't expecting it to sound like a midas, digico, or avid console, but it came very close. Best in price range for sure.
This console is a mid to low level beginners board. The eq's were very weak, I had to really cut them to get what I needed. The whole not having a pad is ridiculous! If I have to say anything positive is that the console looks good and that is where I draw the line.
The club I work at recently purchased a GB4-32 this past spring and I am very happy with its performance so far! The 4 select mute groups are a timesaver and the EQ section is very responsive. 8 Aux sends is the bonus on this board and allows one to mix monitors and still have auxs for FX! The only minor fault I have found with this board is that there are no pads on the channels. If your running a DJ through this board, you may want to invest in some padblox to give you some room when his/hers input gets hot. Peak lights will flash if your getting close to clipping, but I have yet to hear any of those ugly audible cracks when this occurs. I can get great sound out of this board without topping it out. Although, there have been a few shows when I have been riding yellow (+12-+16), it stll sounded very clean! Sleek, hip design, easy to navigate, overall, a real workhorse, a great board!
