A factory-tuned, organic calfskin head allows thumb rolls and taps. A great choice when looking to add extra textures and sounds to your drum set or percussion ensemble. The double row design feautres 12 silver jingle pairs on the 8" tambourine and 16 on the 10" for maximum sound. Attractive natural wood grain finish.
I bought 17 instruments for my tambourine band of senior citizens as an upgrade to the first cheap experimental instruments we bought. The calf skin is scratchy to the touch and the pins that hold the jingles in place tend to rise up so we needed to used clear nail polish or Krazy glue to hold them in place. The ladies loved the new instruments. They gave us a better sound. We did notice they were only slightly heavier than the cheap instrument. So far we are liking this tambourine.
