Here's a sturdy double-braced boom stand that won't kill your budget, from Sound Percussion.
Wow this is a great cymbal stand. This stand is really really sturdy. I have a 18" Zildjian oriental china on it with the boom all the way out and it is so sturdy. I like to play hard and the stand hasnt let me down. Ive had the stand for probably almost a year now and it is still in the condition i got it. It has never tipped or any thing like that. The double braced stand is so sturdy. great for mounting heavy cymbals. I love having a stand where i dont have to worry about it tipping over no matter what i put on it. Great cymbal stand. Highly recommended. Great Buy.

I just bought this stand to replace a "piece" that I have had for years. I also purchased an SP extension arm to attach to it as well. I mounted a 16" crash on the main arm and a 10" china splash on the extension. The set up is perfect. It's not as heavy as some of my Gibralter stands, but it will definetly do the trick.

How can I start....I bought 5 of these babies 2 years ago and they ROCK not one has been damaged and I play Metal. I put everything from an 8" splash to a 21" Heavy Ride to use as a crash and it barely moves. Way worth the money for any drummer.

This stand is amazing. It is much more affordable than the other boom stands out there. I have had one of these for over a year now and it has never let me down. I have a 20" Zildjian ZHT Flat Ride on it and it has never failed. I have a gibralater boom stand as well and that has come loose and tipped on me. The sound percussion has yet to do that. I am taking all my hardware in and replacing it with Sound Percussion.

I bought this stand a couple of weeks ago and it's great. I replaced the arm with a DW 18" arm. Even without it's still great. And it doesn't tip over. I had problems like that with my other stands. Totally worth the money. A cheap stand with outstanding quality. Highly recommended.
