  • Decent for beginners..

As reviewed by Jay on 6/8/2011

Ive had it for about three years. It's not that good of a drumset to perform with because it lacks better quality. But, for some reason, either i was lucky, or something, but so far, i barely borke my cymbal stand hardware just recently and my snare stand just broke a few weeks ago too, but three years of semi smashing it. I pretty much took this kit everywhere. I played with it at small gatherings/ gigs and i gotta admit, it doesnt sound too bad but i regret not waiting a week more for a Gretsch Catalina series drumset because it has better quality. This drum set has a lot of maintenence in the future if you plan on using it the way i did. Moon Gels for your heads, New heads, and constantly having to retune it takes some work. Trust me, its only pretty mych good to practice with but the only reason i still lug it around with mem is because i have no other kit. You really gotta mwss with it to get the sounds you want because after like two three months, the heads start to sound bad. Thats my review.

  • Good Set!

As reviewed by GR on 5/25/2010

This set is good for beginner and beginner intermediate. I did put new skins on i have Remo Skins on it. The skins that were on it are not the best. The Agazarian Cymbals are not the best but the 13" high hat really stands up! It gives off a tone that is pretty good. All around I do not recommend the set if you are advanced but I recommend it if you are a beginner or looking for your first set.

  • Everything is boomy, fine first set

As reviewed by ReformedCE on 6/7/2010

The hardware is cheap but fine. Definitely appropriate for the price. The shells showed some corrosion around the bolts and edges, and even well tuned and damped, the toms, snare and even kick drums sound basically the same, boomy and reverberating, not terribly inspiring. On the other hand the hardware supports the positively musical, base Paste cymbals purchased at the same time.
