Wow this is a great cymbal stand. This stand is really really sturdy. I have a 18" Zildjian oriental china on it with the boom all the way out and it is so sturdy. I like to play hard and the stand hasnt let me down. Ive had the stand for probably almost a year now and it is still in the condition i got it. It has never tipped or any thing like that. The double braced stand is so sturdy. great for mounting heavy cymbals. I love having a stand where i dont have to worry about it tipping over no matter what i put on it. Great cymbal stand. Highly recommended. Great Buy.

I just purchased this stand a few days ago and I gotta admit, I'm slightly dissapointed with it. This stand really needs a memory lock of some kind for the boom arm. Since it doesn't have one you have to really crank the wing nuts for the boom arm to stay in place. However, for a double braced cymbal boom stand, you really can't beat the price. But just so you know you get what you pay for with this cymbal stand.

Fantastic Stand

By Joseph Brondige

from Belding, MI

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

This stand is amazing. It is much more affordable than the other boom stands out there. I have had one of these for over a year now and it has never let me down. I have a 20" Zildjian ZHT Flat Ride on it and it has never failed. I have a gibralater boom stand as well and that has come loose and tipped on me. The sound percussion has yet to do that. I am taking all my hardware in and replacing it with Sound Percussion.

WOW

By Fernando Martinez

from Hollister CA

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

How can I start....I bought 5 of these babies 2 years ago and they ROCK not one has been damaged and I play Metal. I put everything from an 8" splash to a 21" Heavy Ride to use as a crash and it barely moves. Way worth the money for any drummer.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

WOW. this stand is amazing. I use it for all my cymbals. Even with its cheap price it holds up my 16" ozone with two splashes stacked on it. It also holds my 20" ride and 18" crash with ease. It never shows signs of shaking or tipping.

Great Stand for the price

By Rhythm

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I just bought this stand to replace a "piece" that I have had for years. I also purchased an SP extension arm to attach to it as well. I mounted a 16" crash on the main arm and a 10" china splash on the extension. The set up is perfect. It's not as heavy as some of my Gibralter stands, but it will definetly do the trick.

Cool Stand

By Big Wayne Matthews

from Marrero, LA.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I bought this stand a couple of weeks ago and it's great. I replaced the arm with a DW 18" arm. Even without it's still great. And it doesn't tip over. I had problems like that with my other stands. Totally worth the money. A cheap stand with outstanding quality. Highly recommended.

Great stand!

By AluminumPancake

from Lewsiburg, Pennsylvania

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

This stand is very reasonably priced for the amount of sturdiness and stability it offers. I've mounted all sizes of cymbals on this and it stands strong through even the hardest playing. You won't get anything better in this price range, nor do I think there's any reason to spend more. I highly recommend it to anybody.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

This stand is great, especially considering the price. It is highly durable and a great addition to any kit. It's great for putting another cymbal in somewhere that would be hard to fit otherwise.

It's amazing how cheap this is and how sturdy. I have a 20' Meinl Ride/Crash on it and have no problems with instability. If you want to save money this is for you. You would rate this 5 stars after buying also.

Great Stand

By Chris

from El Sobrante, CA.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I bought this because the set I had didn't come with any hardware and I was looking not too spend too much. I have been pleasantly surprised with this stand. It is very sturdy, you can tell with the weight alone they put some effort into this. I only have one right now that I use to hold two toms and my 20" ride. All it takes is thinking about leg positioning and distributing the weight. I will buy another, but regret not getting the double boom pack. I would have saved some money.

Great Stand, Great Price

By Jack

from Phoenix Arizona

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I bought 4 of these about 6 months ago, and the best thing about them (other than the great price) is their versatility. With the legs fully extended, these stands will hold 22" rides on an extended boom with no problem. They feel just as high quality as a Gibralter or Hercules stand at half the price. I plan on purchasing more of these stands as I collect more cymbals.

Sound Percussion

By Don

from Dumas, Tx

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

I have two of these. You can spend more money if it makes you feel noble. But the wise drummer will raise an eyebrow at this hardware. It's 300% heavier and more sturdy than the P/D 700. In fact it ranks up there with my Mapex 550 stands. These are good. Enough said.

It's Definitely Worth the Money

By CommonDenominator

from Blue Lake, CA

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880BS Double-Braced Boom Stand:

As a total amateur, I have the luxury of building a huge kit and not have to worry about moving it from gig to gig. My wife's not too happy about this, but it's fun for me. I'm always looking for bargains and really don't have any brand loyalty, so I bought this stand and it's one of the best that I've got. My kit includes 10 cymbals and each one has their own stand. I was able to put my heaviest cymbal on this stand and place it in some pretty awkward positions and it doesn't tip or sway; it's really pretty strong. If you promise not to tell my wife, I'll let you in on a little secret.......I'm going to get another one, maybe 2.
