Most people say that its junk , but honestly its the best entry level out there (as far as i know). The snare stand is fantastic.mich better than the pearl or pdp 800 series.Cymabal stand wound be equivalent a pdp 700 series. The pedal and the hi-hat stand are decent but are nothing to brag about. The only reason you shouldnt buy this is if your afraid of bieng picked on buy other drummers(the ones who think that there kool for having expencive equipment)or if you endorse a certin brand or company. BUY THIS!!!!!!!

I had owned this hardware pack for 1 year and i have a say im was not satisfied. After just three months the ride stand broke at the top. Shortly after that the hi-hat stand plastic supporter for the bottom hi-hat broke completely. The bass drum pedal has also bent into a curved quarter circle shape. I wouldn't buy this again, but if you're a beginner intending to buy a new kit and hardware pack down the road then this is not a bad investment

Not what i expected

By jonathan grimmett

from charleston, wv

I just got a new shell kit and it didn't come with hardware. so my plan was to buy cheap and upgrade over time. (which is probably why you are reading this also). I checked out a 199.99 hardware package at a local shop and it was decently made.. but I decided to go even cheaper and just buy better grade hardware faster, by saving the 100 buck initially.. I really was expecting mediocre hardware and didn't have any high hopes when it arrived.. then I took it out of the box.. WOW! this is heavy duty stuff.. the bass pedal is solid and heavy, responsive and reflexive and built like a tank.. VERY VERY little play in the chain drive.. the high hat stand is 10x what I expected.. the snare stand is worth the 60 bucks all by itself and the boom stand is comparable to any boom stand on the market (at any price).. memory locks on all the hardware, double braced, heavy duty, built like a tank.. IN all honesty, the only reason I will ever upgrade would be to buy a double pedal. SAVE YOUR MONEY and BUY THIS PACKAGE! you can spend the extra money and get basically the same hardware with a different logo sticker on it.. and I guess u can wear the t-shirt then if that really matters to you.. maybe I've been out of the game too long but 6 or 7 years ago this kind of hardware would have been a dream come true.. i'm not saying all the other reviews are incorrect, maybe I just got lucky. maybe some of them know something I don't.. but I've been playing music (guitar, drums, ect.) for 20 years.. this isn't a beginners product review.. and I feel like I owe this company more money for what they sent me! I read all the reviews and was skeptical on a 100 dollar hardware kit.. very very skeptical..lol.. I've never got back on a site and gave a product review, but I felt like somebody should really tell people what this kit is really like.. spend the cash you save on upgraded cymbals, heads, ect.. because you won't have to keep upgrading hardware with this kit!

Not the best but will Do

By Daniel Torres

from Munster IN

I played a drumset at a church that has this hardware pack with. First off the bass pedal is not that bad though it is not good for playing really fast bass drum beats. The snare stand I don't like too much since it doesn't give me alot of adjustments, for example I like having my snare tilted at a certain degree I feel comfortable with and sadly to say the snare stand won't let me adjust to that degree. The hi hat stand is kinda stiff. Its not smooth and it doesn't have much adjustments such that you can't rotate the footboard of the hi hat. The cymbal stand I have no problem with just wish the tubs of the cymbal stand was a little more thicker to handle heavy cymbals. Overall its Cheap, affordable, and great for beginners trying to get into learning about drum hardware.

Don't be affraid to buy these...

By Rene Soto

from Bronco country... Colorado

So I go to GC to get a cymbal stand and then I see this special... then I start thinking... that's about how much I was gonna spend on a single stand! I could use a new bass pedal... a new hh stand... and a new snare stand because the factory ones for my drumzone set suck! anyway... I was very pleased with the cymbal stand and the bass pedal... the snare stand is ok but i had a tama laying around so i stuck to that... the hh stand kinda bugs me because it keeps running from me! I'm guessing it's too light? or I shouldn't stomp on it too hard? I dunno I'm a beginner/intermediate level drummer myself... so anyway, if you're entry-level and are looking for a nice, cheap starter pack, I'd definitely recommend this. I'm not concerned about looks at all it's what you do with your gear that matters to me... ever see a guy jammin on pans lids and buckets?!... a oui oui

hardware

By James

I got this pack when I bought my pdp x7 drum kit. Its a pretty good set of hardware for the price but if you are looking for long term use you should save up and get better. The hi-hat stand is pretty good but just a little to hard to press down.

A good first choice

By Jens Romer

from Fort Myers Florida

I have been a musician for many years playing every thing else but drums. I know what the pros put in a berrel of money when they build a set and most of them do it over time. This is why I chose this set of hardware. It is of medium build the quality is ok but then again your not paying 400 for the hight hat + + +. The savings for a starter kid by purchasing this set give you more options on symbols. After all what is more important, the hat or the hat rack? It funktions well with my Pearl soundcheck set and sabian symbols.

Its Okay.

By Mick

from Chicago, IL

I got this hardware pack for my new drum set, and I knew it was going to be the greatest thing. But for the most part, the snare and cymbal stand do well. The bass pedal is pretty good and is pretty powerful. And the hi hat stand is okay. My only complaint is that my bass pedal can barely change the angle of my beater. I can't tune it to a specific angle. The only positions it'll even let me tune to will be way too far back, or way too far forward. Otherwise, the whole pack gets the job done. It's good for beginners.

Great!!!!!! Excellent for Starters 3.8679 stars :)

This hardware pack is TERRIFIC!!!!! i bought this when i first got my drumset. The High Stand and Bass pedal are okay, but not the best. Although I LOVE the Cymbal Stand. its very sturdy and great. i clamped my 10" tom to it and it hold PERFECT. Now the snare stand i had a problem with at the beginning. The trick for me was that i had to Tighten the stand real tight so that it wouldn't keep sliding down when i hit it. BUT other then those things i love it. great to start with.

Good hardware 4 beginners!

By Sweet "P"

from Tuscaloosa, Al

This hardware set is a good beginner set intended 4 beginners. It has everything yo need to start off with. This hardware is double braced but it is short & the tubing is small. the snare stand is ok & the bass & hi-hat pedals won't win any awards either. Don't buy this set looking @ the price thinking its a deal cause you get what you pay 4! P.S. I bought this 4 my nephew & he loves it.
