  • good little snare

As reviewed by Adam on 7/10/2011

I bought this drum out of boredom with my current snare and i assumed this could be my secondary, but after applying new remo heads, this became my primary snare. I play many gigs in a week and this drum has held up to my abusive nature just as I would expect from more expensive snares (it still looks sleek after 2 years). It has potential to be tuned to any style you need but there is always a little ring and also the throwoff is cheap. overall its perfect in price range and sound, for gigging but when recording you may want to think twice and spend the extra dollar.

As reviewed by Jesse on 1/18/2010

Great little snare. I have an sp drumkit that doesnt seem to be listed on this site oddly being that its the best drumkit sp makes.I seen this snare on craigs and I thought I was so happy with my drumkit that I would pick it up.Boy was that one of the best things I did.I picked it up put some new heads on it and this thing just sounds great.Sounds very.. Deftones White pony snare.I love it it has a nice amount of crack and attack to it but it has just enough body.It sounds great on tape as well. I say pick it up!

  • Snappy little guy

As reviewed by Loki Three on 5/21/2010

This is a great little piccolo for the money. The hardware and shell are solid costruction as is all of Sound Percussion equipment. The snare throwoff is a little cheap, but it's functional. Once you slap on a couple of Remo heads, this drum creates a very nice little snap. The metal shell helps keep the tone high, with only a moderate amount of ring. Overall, I like this drum for live performances as it has great projection. I would probably recommend a small maple piccolo for studio work, though.
