  • Impressive quality for low price!

As reviewed by Jonathon on 7/4/2011

I bought this drumset like 4 weeks ago. I never put the bass drum heads that it came with because I already had an evans Emad EQ bass head with a built on muter. and and EQ3 evans resonate bass head and with that the bass drum sounds amazing. The toms are good but hard to tune just put a mute ring on them and they will sound good. the snare is actually badass if you know how to tune it right. so overall This drumset is very good for the little amount that you pay. I already played a show with it and it impressed the hell out of me when they miked it up. it sounded alot better than my previous drum set. if your low on cash and want a bargain buy this drum set. you will not be let down.

  • All I wanted and more.

As reviewed by Brian on 4/16/2011

I bought this set for my son just over 2 years ago. Seven months later I bought the three piece add-on. He played on this set for 2 years. He's way into the heavy metal style, and he plays it hard. He joined a band just over three months ago and is still using the Sound Percussion set for his gigs. This means a lot of tearing down and putting together. It's really holding up well. He has gotten some quality heads, cymbals and more durable kick pedals to enhance the sound. Guitar Center has all the parts you need right there in the store to keep it properly maintained, which is very convenient. The only problem we encountered with this was the drum heads that came with it were impossible to tune for a heavy metal feel. I have gotten more out of this set than I thought I would when I first bought it for my kid. I have been very impressed and recommend this as a first set for any beginner. Its well worth the money you spend.

  • More than worth the money

As reviewed by Jason Spick on 6/18/2011

I have been drumming for close to 17 years now, was on a 5 year break to go to college. I got this drumset as a bday present and I am amazed at the quality. Surprisinly the cymbals that came with it where just as good. only thing I would recommend is getting a new base drum pedal(not as responsive as i would have wanted, but still very good) and replacing the heads. This set is better than my old pearl export.
