Awesome software!

By Sound Tech

from Moulton, OH

Comments about Sony Sound forge Audio Studio 9:

If you're looking for a simple 2-track software package with Awesome post-processing features, this is it! I use it for recording live church services, so I only need two tracks for my application. After the servcie, I can go in and touch-up the noise and dead spots with ease. Certainly a GREAT VALUE for its price!

Good Quality.....not enough instructions

By Billy K.

from Seattle, WA

Comments about Sony Sound forge Audio Studio 9:

A number of years back, I bought a bundle of Sound Forge XP(4.5) version and CD Architect. Since I have a new computer, it was about time to update the software. The Quality of the Sonic Foundry products, now made by Sony, is still high. The only issue I have is with the instructions....particularly on how to burn CDs. There is something lacking in the instructions/tutorials.....I've had this a few days and still can't grasp it.In contrast, on the old software, it was really easy to burn CDs. Then again, I also had CD Architect, which had a lot of good features. However, buying CD Architect separately will add another $100-120. It's best to wait and pay a few more dollars and get the complete Sound Forge suite, which has everything.

Comments about Sony Sound forge Audio Studio 9:

its a pretty good recording software for small time user or someone getting started and stuff like that. its definitely got alot of built in effects and enhancements. and the 100,1 loops that it came with are very useful the only problem is its not too user friendly and i think that the way you mix songs and record is limited becuase you can only have two channels at a time so making a song can take a while if you want it to be good

I use this program with reason. it works well except that fine tuning the splicing of tracks is a little hard. But if you are just starting to record its a great program

Sound Forge is Great Value

By doc_cj

Comments about Sony Sound forge Audio Studio 9:

I originally used Sound Forge when it was made by Sonic Foundry so I had a pretty high expectation with this product. Sony did not let me down. Sound Forge remains relatively easy to use and very powerful. In fact, the software outperforms by basic home-study setup, so it looks like I'll be upgrading some hardware to match the quality of my software. Two things that I really like about Sound Forge. First, you can easily record to CD with this software without having to compile and use an outside title. Second, you can quickly and easily convert audio files to MP3, WAV, WMA, and other formats including QuickTime and RealMedia formats for the web. As a college professor who uses recorded lectures for online classes this gives me the highest level of control over my work.
