The Sony MDRV-150 can even take being used in the club in a pinch. While not as ideal as its bigger brother, the MDRV-500, these are good for backup use and sketchy places, where you might get stuff stolen. Great for beginners or not-so-demanding situations. Highly recommended.

For the price it does its job quite well. On low volume they give you decent bass, but as the volume is increased, the bass gets very very distorted. Mids are present in their low range, everything thats higher than 2-3KHz has lower gain. The phrase "Highs are clear and crispy" does not reffer to those hoadphones. I need to adjust my equalizer in order for these headphones to play. The quality is pretty good, especially i like the cord: its very thick and flexible. The headphones are not very comfy and are too tight. But its okay. Good headphones for beginners or as a second pair.

They sound pretty good for the price. Not studio quality but great for at home producing or listening. Low end is really good. Buy if on a budget.

Don't Buy this

By Ruben -Acid Paradox-

from El Paso, Texas

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 Studio Monitor Series Headphones:

The sound quality is decent, but when volume is above normal, the bass just blocks all the other sounds, making it sound really distorted,And if you low the volume you can still notice some distortion.

By Some guy

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 Studio Monitor Series Headphones:

These headphones are perfect. You can either plug them into your amp or pedal. They also have good sound. They are kinda small but still fit well and are adjustable.

Excellent For The Price

By DJ Junior

from Gilbert, AZ

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 Studio Monitor Series Headphones:

I recently bought one after reading the reviews and I can absolutly say that they are the best for the price. Don't believe people when they say these don't have good bass. The only reasong they are saying that is because they didn't let the magnet in the headphones flex under low volume for a hour or so. I let them flex and after 2 hours turned them up and the bass was max with no distortion. Looking to get 2 more soon.

Unrealistic Bass

By Carlos Wheeler

from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Sony MDR-V150 Studio Monitor Series Headphones:

These have way too much bass, i love bass but its kind of annoying when making beats, perfect for home studio recording though i must admit. if you just want to listen to music i strongly suggest, they are really sturdy. If you are a creater, only use these when laying down vocals, they dont leak much sound due to the construction and the pretty strong squeeze they put on your head.
