These picks are awesome! The sandpaper grip will NEVER wear off! I bought the flimsiest kind (0.6) because it works great for strumming. You could easily bend it 150 degrees without breaking or permanent bending. You can hang onto these picks very loosley without dropping. You hardly feel the grip. I highly reccomend this pick to all ages. I took a cheap Yamaha 0.7 pick and bent it. It broke. I did the same thing with a Snarling Dog and it went back into its original position.

BEST PICKS EVER!

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

I love the grip on these picks! I bought some light ones today and they work just great for picking and strumming. I mostly do power chords and short little riffs and they work great for them. I also do alot of chords in the first 3 frets and the picks work great there too.

A good pick

By The Illuminator

from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

I played around with these before buying them, and, while I'm certain that there are better picks out there, these a quite good, and a massive step above the kind of pick that one would buy a bag of for $5, which is to say, I like them, whereas I can't abide the average pick. The grip is very nice too, requiring very little pressure to stay securely between the fingers. To address the complaint that the .5 gauge picks being too thin to be useful, simply buy a thicker gauge. It is a given that different people prefer different gauges.

Best gripped picks ever

By Red36

from Grasonville, MD

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

I used to use other brands of picks and I always had troubles with them slipping. A store worker recommended these picks and they do not slip, they fit nice between the fingers, and they don't break easily. All in all, the best pick I ever bought

My Favorite.

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

I play with the Medium gauge picks [the black ones] and they are great. The grip is really useful and the price is average. I would recommend these picks to anyone still searching for the right pick.

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

I love these. I bought the 1.00mm ones because I'd been having trouble with picks bending and slipping on bass strings, and these are the perfect match.

I've got oilly palms and fingers, can't get around them. So I've always had a problem holding onto picks. That is untill I found the Snarling Dogs picks. They're simply amazing! the sandpaper grips allow me to keep a solid hold on them without hurt my fingers or getting them all messy!!!

Almost the perfect pick

By Anonymous

from Twin Cities, MN

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

Seems that Snarling Dog has come really close to developing the perfect (for me) pick. Like many others, I've always had a difficult time gripping slick celluloid picks and the best alternative I could find were Tortex, but while Tortex seems to last forever, eventually they will become slick just like a normal pick. The texture on the Brain Pick is like emery cloth or fine sandpaper. They've got enough "bite" to stay in place without being uncomfortable. The only things I could think of that would make these the perfect picks would be to make them out of a material similar to Tortex and ditch the bright red color of the .073 in favor of something a little more toned down.

Nice grip but...

By Vinny

from North Attleboro, MA

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:

The answer to all of us guitarists who have finally found a pick with the perfect "grip". You will not drop this pick while you play...but the heaviest pick, the 1.14 (my preference)they make, but it feels more like a .88 or maybe a 1.0 thickness, another words, too soft a plastic! Growling Dogs Brain pick people, are you listening? Improve on the quality or at least make a thicker line of picks.
