Good, but there is better, cheaper

THE GOOD: Simple to use. Includes scales. THE BAD: No way to turn off the ridiculous beep. If the display changes when you press the button there is no need for it to beep. As you build your chord nothing on the display actually tells you what chord you have just built. Maybe instead of the beeping they could have used lights under the buttons to indicate the chord you created. The display is too small and not back lit. Not worth the price. COMPARISON: I also have the AKAI Guitar Chord Finder which doesn?t have scales, but does have more chords and inversion. The extra chords - sustain, add9, 7-5, 7+5, 7-9,7+9, 6/9, 11, 13, and +5. It is more portable because it is smaller, it has a wider display which is easier to read including showing where it is appropriate to bar. The cost of the AKAI is about 60% less and it can take a beating.
