Four repairs in six months

By Josh Villa

from :La Mesa, CA

I bought this kit in September looking for something quiet to play. Before the store warranty was I had to take it back to replace the bass drum pad. Shortly after the module started malfunctioning and I had to take it back again to get a whole new kit. This one held up a little better, but two months later, one of the symbol pads went out and I had to get that replaced as well. Now one of the tom pads is out and all I get is new parts that keep breaking. Guitar Center owns Simmons and you would think that would make them take pride in their work, right? They also have poor customer service by not wanting to refund my money and continuing to give me things that will end up breaking. If this continues Guitar Center will no longer have me as a regular customer.

Pretty Darn Good Kit

By Jeffrey Korte

from Vancouver, WA

I was honestly not expecting very much for an inexpensive electronic drum kit but this set exceeded my expectations. The kit came with preset configuration and I found the crash highly distorted. To solve the issue I played around with other crash settings and volume (voice) level and that took care of that. It has a lot of settings to vary your style. Gave fun.

Don't waste your money!

By Leah Nicely

from VA

I bought this kit knowing that it wasn't going to be the greatest but I just need it for practice. I practice about two hours a day and after a week the hi-hat started dropping notes when I hit it at the same time as the snare. Aside from this the sounds on it are terrible and don't offer much customization besides turning off the awful reverb. I wanted this kit to work and be tough and reliable but it just isn't. If you have the money to buy this kit do what I did and save another $100-$200 and find a used Roland. Your money is much better spent and you will be 10x happier with your purchase.

Great Drum Kit for any style of playing

By Jerrald James

from Lansing,Illinois.

This electronic drum kit is worth the money. I have used my drums several times playing and transporting it from gig to gig. The light weight frame of it makes it easy to lift and carry, It is also very easy to put together. The sound and the feel of the padds are great. I would recommend buying this kit. Jerry

Not a very great kit for what I was told it was.

By Tyler Nulph

from Batavia Illinois

This is my first electronic kit, I had bought it this summer of 2012, and about four months ago, the cymbal triggers aren't working very well anymore, alot of the kit has easy, plastic, brackets, the base of the cymbal is plastic, and then covered by a rubber material. Supporting posts are made of aluminum, that's great, but the joints and brackets for them, are plastic as well. The actual drum posts, slide into the snare, tom and cymbal brackets as well, they tend to slide alot when tightened down. The bass module isn't very stable, when using the kick pedal, the bass moves around and shakes alot. This is just an all around kit that is a bit more professional than a guitar hero console. You cannot add more drums or cymbals to this kit, everything is pre-wired and that's all you can get from it. The drum heads feel incredibly thin, and when I hit it, it feels like there is a rock underneath the head. I'm not impressed.
