For the price it's not too bad. I bought this just to learn the fundamentals of drumming without the loud volume of a percussion kit. I don't see any other kits in this price range. It could never be used in a band. Problems I have with it: Crash does not always play after the end of a drum roll (always plays by itself though). The snare doesn't respond that well either. The volumes of the drums don't seem accurate, although I believe that can be adjusted. Toms and bass are super loud. The high hat and ride you can barely hear. I have not had any overall volume problems though. Sounds loud through my headphones and my amp. Things I like: metronome, included songs to practice with, price. If I get 3-6 months out of this I will be happy. I suspect the rubber will on the symbols will wear down first. Time will tell. This price for a learning tool is not bad.
I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it!! She's always wanted an electronic drum set, this was on sale and I couldn't resist!!! She plays it everyday. It's not the biggest and best but it has lots of sounds and is small and compact would recommend it!!
For the price you can't go wrong with this set. You get what you pay for. There are only minor flaws. The crash doesn't trigger 100% of the time, especially when played with the bass drum. The sound of the cymbals aren't always even, as you'll get a random loud sound followed by softer sounds. The snare is unreliable, you must put excessive power into your strokes to get the powerful sound your looking for, or it's too quiet. Overall, the price is better than any good drum set out there. Great buy for beginners.
