Extended functions, more voices, and versatility that today's drummer demands.
The Simmons SD7K Electronic Drum Kit is the next step up from the popular SD5K, with the expanded functionality that will please drummers and complement any stage. The drum feel is incredibly life-like, with over 300 realistic sounds and an expressive hi-hat. The bass drum pad accommodates a double pedal. With a dual-zone snare pad, 20 preset kits and space for 30 user kits, the SD7K delivers state-of-the-art electronic sounds with USB connectivity at an unbeatable price.
No matter what style you play, you owe it to yourself to explore the world of recording and performance possibilities that electronic percussion offers. The Simmons SD7K Drum Set has live, electronic pads and hand percussion options letting you add exotic sounds that would otherwise require a large and space-consuming collection of instruments. Drum giants like Vinnie Colaiuta and Josh Freese incorporate electronic drums into their live kits, giving them a far broader palette to work from. Plus, with many bands playing live to sequenced backgrounds, electronics are essential for triggering and interacting with your backing tracks. In the studio, the wide variety of sample libraries available make electronic drum sets more useful than ever. Just play the song, and use the SD7K kit's MIDI signal to trigger your choice of samples, and you'll have drum tracks that can be endlessly altered as you mix. Replace the snare, kick or toms, or combine multiple samples for a massively powerful wall of sound.
Bass pedal sold separately.

amazing sound, and amazing price!
this is my first electronic set. I have a gretsch catalaina 8-ply birch thats really has amazing sound. Before I even thought about buying a electronic set. I went to guitar center and sat down for a good hour and half playing five or six different electronic sets, and to tell you the truth I choose the simmons SD7K because of the price and it sounded great if not better then the more exspensive kits. Ya, I have to admit there were some kits that had a extra cymbal or tom, but were twice the price. I'm very happy with my desicion and love the quick response and 350 different kits you can mess with. I also will be incorperating my electronic kit with my acoustic. Over all best by in drum world i've had in a long time.

Great First Electronic Kit
This is my first drum kit. I chose the electronic kit as it allows me to practice and not disrupt the whole house.
I love this kit with two exceptions:
1. You cannot, to my knowledge add more cymbals, as there is not enough room on the back of the module to do so.
2. You cannot, to my knowledge, silence the cymbals with your fingers as you could a traditional cymbal.
An additional, but minor irritation is not having the ability to turn the rim sensor off.
Great kit, worth the money, I recommend it.
Cheers,

Smooth skins
I have owned many sets over the years 4 Sets of Gretch + Pearl Pro + The Pintechs and others - This set is a sleeper it feels better than Yamaha and the lower end Rolands - Has a clear sound with enough flex to change the 30 sets into just what you need as well as having the other 20 that are preprogrammed. For the money it is a real value Hey Simmons was one of the Pioneers in electronic drums- Also extremly well made
