The Simmons DA200S houses a 100-watt low-frequency amp with two 50-watt mid- and high-frequency amps. The low-frequency amp powers a heavy-duty 12" down-firing sub-woofer speaker and a specially designed slot port for bottom-end projection. Left and right mid- and high-frequency amps drive 2-6-1/2" mid-range speakers and 2-1/2" high-frequency tweeters.
The DA200S maintains the integrity of the stereo drum signal from input to speakers (including line outs and extension speaker jacks). This provides a broad stereo field that positions your drums at their correct sonic locations, providing a realistic audio experience for you and your audience, whether you're in the studio or playing live.

I bought this amp to go with my Roland TD-3KW, and it is an extremely good product. This speaker is significantly louder than the smaller 50 watt version, and it also contains a 12" subwoofer, which makes the amp sound far superior even at low volumes. It is also quite a bit larger than the 50 watt so do not be fooled by the pictures. Very good product.
I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago to use with my Roland TD-20s. After spending many hours researching and reading reviews, I was sold on this unit. It out-performs all other (drum) amps I've tried or listened to. I love the full, powerful lows that you can "feel" from the subwoofer when kicking the bass; the strong, clear mid-levels from the toms; the crisp and bright highs from the hi-hats, ride, and crash cymbals. Best of all is the price! After investing so much money on my TD-20s, I didn't want to wait until I could afford a "high-end" amp so I checked into this one and a couple of competitors. As it turns out, I feel I got a "high-end" amp at a "low-end" price!
I bought this monitor to play with my Handsonic 10, and boy does it rock. I play for a church band and our church is a huge building. This monitor was heard over other speakers and PA systems. VERY GOOD BUY! Very strong and crisp.
