I love this case, it fits my Takamine like a glove. It has a small extra cushion on the bottom near the neck of the guitar, just some extra padding for when you're on the go. It has a nice compartment to store a strap, tuner, capo, anything you might need. The only reasons I didn't give this a 5 are very small ones. 1)When i got it the case smelled... bad. Just air it out though and it's fine. 2)Not a very sturdy lock, then again, try and find a good case with a nice lock for under a couple hundred bucks. 3)The handle doesn't feel too sturdy. No real issue with it yet but i can see it breaking in the future.

I bought this case about two months ago for my Recording King RD-316-FE2. I purchased this one because I already own one for my Silver Creek-000, which I have been highly satisfied with. The lining is plush, construction is sturdy and the look is definitely vintage. It fits my guitar like a glove. However the Tolex is minimal thickness and you can see and feel any roughness in the underlayer. When I arrived to pick up my case the stitching around the binding had large loops in it and there were visible air bubbles under the Tolex. I sent it back and waited for another. When it arrived the Tolex again had air bubble which I was able to pressed out with a warm iron and towel and the lining was pulling away from the side which I fixed with rubber cement. So my experience was not the greatest - I drove 150 miles total to get this case and still ended up doing the fit and finish myself. All that said I would likely buy it again because I doubt I can find better at this price point

Beautiful and sturdy case!

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

Very well made, and the plush emerald green lining is just beautiful. Unfortunately, my Yamaha FG730S didn't fit well. I had to really cram it in, compressing the foam almost completely, and the lid was difficult to close with the guitar inside. With a heavy heart, I had to return the case. I've heard the Yamahas are a little wider than most guitars. If your guitar fits, you will love this case.

Be careful

By Gary

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

Be careful if you choose to buy this case...that your guitar is worthy of it? You certainly wouldn't want your case to be nicer than your instrument. In other words, this guitar case is excellent. It's well made, very good looking and sturdy and definitely more like a peace of art than (just) a case! Should you decide to buy one, you won't be disappointed, I highly recommend it.

OMG!!! SUPER SEXY HOT CASE!!! LOVE LOVE!!! 5 STARS

By Chris

from Dalton, Georgia

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

This case will NOT disappoint! It has that ultra vintage feel with the plush sexy green crushed velvet interior. WOW! Is this thing ever hot. I get so many compliments and love taking it everywhere I go. It has a super heavy duty which makes it on the heavy side, but heck - what do you want a case for in the first place? For protection, right? AND this case does not disappoint. Super thick lining and heavy duty exterior, with locks, gives you everything you need. Snug feel around the sides, but extra room at the top (for a longer guitar) plus nice extra large accessory compartment for all those extras. I even have extra room on the bottom of the case for my sheet music. I have never been happier! I promise - you will not be even the slightest bit disappointed with this case.

Vintage Dreadnought black hard shell case

By Bob Clark

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

This case is AWESOME! Everything I expected! My guitar fits snug and the dark green liner really sets off my flat-top. I have had this guitar for well over 30 years - it deserves a "good home" I could not be more pleased. Especially for the price to value ratio! Thanks!

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

I bought this arch top case for my arch top electric guitar which fitted snugly in this seemingly a nice sturdy case. But, the first day I put my guitar in it to take it to a jam, the screw that held the handle to the body of the case came right off, and my guitar got dropped almost a feet nearly injuring my feet. The next day I returned it at the nearby Guitar Center. I will never buy any products from this company.

I reviewed several cases considering construction, fit, and cost. After reading many comments for each case, one very detailed review sold me on this one. Everything mentioned in the review was true. My guitar fits perfectly, the case is well made, and it is also very attractive. Everyone that has seen the case has been impressed with the quality, the appearance, and the price. I would definitely recommend this case.

Comments about Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case:

This case is a tight fit for my 40 year old Alvarez Regent acoustic guitar. I relied on the measurements published for this case and found the measurements are accurate. The case is a bit heavy and the handle placement is a little too far forward but this is not a great concern. This is a good, sturdy acoustic guitar case.

The quality is as good as the Martin cases & it's a perfect fit for both of my D-41 Sigmas. These are a no brainer & you'd pay more for a case of the same features. The 6 latches are overkill only when latching & unlatching , but the fit and security they provide is worth it. You can't go wrong with these cases.

I bought this case because I was really digging the vintage look and the green plush. I did read reviews that suggested that it was a bit on the heavy side but that really didn't bother me. Well, about 20 days and 1 gig later the pin that holds the handle on broke in half. Needless to say I had a problem on my hands. My guess is the weight of the case caused this but it should have been able to withstand the weight alot longer than that.

The case is pretty good. The cover looks like it might have been ripped, maybe during manufacture, and poorly repaired. I did not notice it until after I had destroyed to box, or I would have returned it. Check it closely when it arrives.

"It can't be that good, look at the price!" Wrong! This is a good, solid case that I expect to last for a long time and protect my new Martin Dreadnought well. It's light, and that might make you think it's not like the sturdy, heavy wooden cases of the 1970s. You're not going to be disappointed with this hardcase, repleat with the nice little pick-and-string compartment, and good, quality latches all the way around. I bought my first guitar when I was 12. I'm in my early 50s. I've seen a few cases. .

Beautiful interior of crushed emerald green to caress your git-fiddle in style. Guitar Center has no idea which case fits which guitar. Get the dimensions from other sites. This case is "snug" on my Fender CD160SE12 acoustic 12. Case could not be any smaller but it is a good fit for my jams machine. Sturdy build and stitched thru the wood to secure the cover. Storage pocket nice size. I was going to consider another one for my Guild D50NT 6-string but case is too small for it. Again, check your dimensions. So far, I'd recommend it.
