I expected much from this mic after reading reviews of the wired sm86. but the first impression was disaster. very thin, not enough gain and bass. I was very disapointed. I wanted to sell it, but no one liked the sound. then one day I removed one of the foam leyers under the grill(on the top)... voila! the mic got alive.full, bright and punchy. far better than 58's. now I use it with the little behringer shark processor at moderate settings (mic input at 2 o'clock, low cut at 90hz,slight compression, fbq filter) and and it sounds marvelous. responds well to gain, without distorsion. my voice is always above the crowded loud mix.
This is used mostly for preaching & music solos. We've had no problems.
We use this mic for our business team meetings, and it is crisp clear and great in any size audience. I have never had a mic that i like more!
I have tried many microphones both wired and wireless and this is the one. Many have tried to gain the level of clarity and presence this mic has achieved and very few have succeeded. Whether your application is acoustic folk or heavy metal this mic cuts through without muddying vocals or creating the hassle of back and forth tweaking of tone on the PA system in use. Long story short... Great Mic, Excellent Tone and Unmatched Clarity in its price range.
This mic picks up the vocals clear. I have found that compared to hard wired SM 58 it lacks gain. When had it side by side on the board. When we tried to turn it up it went into distortion. We just could not find the sweet spot we were looking for compared to more expensive wireless mic's we have. We did use it for the show but our lead singer still wanted the hard wired 58. Not as clear nor has the presence we were looking for. Would be great for Karaoke or back up vocals. This may work for most bands we just have a large setup that requires the best equipment. Easy to hook up and use. Doesn't suck like some wireless systems
Me and my band have been doing local concerts all around the area and we've been trying to make it into the big time. We all pitched in and decided to get a high quality wireless mic system cause we were always tripping over wires and stuff during shows. I must say, none of us were disappointed, we had clear sound, no cutting off, and no problems during the show no matter how far I moved from the system. I would definitely recommend this to all serious bands or anyone that really wants or needs a high quality wireless mic.
This wireless microphone has made a huge impact at our church. The sound is clear and it has a great signal. It also sounds amazing. No more chords running around the stage. I highly recommend this microphone to any application. Its great for touring because there are no chords involved. This is a must buy.
