I've had the PG4 Receiver and Transmitter for over a year now and there's not another wireless system I'd prefer. it's been in my rack since the day I got it even though you can't mount it. I just used a little duct tape and it's been with me ever since. As far as functionality and signal go, its 100% reliable. The 9v battery usually lasts about 10 to 15 hours so i gotta keep an extra one with me, just in case. The transmitter has a light which turns red about an hour before the battery dies, so you're good as long as you replace it right away. I play the bass and there is absolutely no loss of tone and it just sounds great, the way it's supposed to sound. There has never been no problem. The only thing that's happened to it is the clip on the transmitter you use to attach it. It broke off the first time i used it, but thay's only because I run and jump around the stage. If it was used under normal conditions, it'd be fine. Besides, i find it more convenient to use electrical tape and put it on my strap. When the sad day comes and it brakes or it gets stolen because i was too drunk and careless after an awesome show, there's no doubt that I'll replace it with another PG4. I definitely got more than what i paid for.
