Great mike!

By Jim

from Georgia

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

This mike is discontinued and at this price, grab a couple before they are gone. I have used these for vocals on a difficult singer. It has produced some sweet recordings. I wouldn't recommend them for on stage mikes, however some people have who are knowledgeable regarding feedback elimination with great results.

I have had this mic

By James C Thow

from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

for must be five years now, and it still gets the job done! Granted, I'm not using it everyday, only sparingly but this Shure mic understands that clean response you want for guitar and vocals, definitely. I like using this in live setting recordings and see myself getting more of these when I can!

similar results for a tenth of the price!!

By VHull

from Hollywood, CA

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

During my time at school for audio engineering, I, as a rapper, tested a lot of different mics. One day at the studio, we setup 5 mics simultaneously (press conference-style). One other along with the KSM27 was the renowned Neumann U87... Did a few takes and took a blind listen to the results: U87 and KSM 27 were ridiculously similar, and by far the best sounding. Very warm. Until I can drop for an 87, this is my mic of choice!

The Amazing Shure KSM 27!!

By Jac

from Angleton, TX

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

I have been running a small time home recording studio for two years now, and I have run tried and used various mics raning from MXL 990's to high end Nueman microphones. For the price, this microphone is an UNBELIEVABLE steal!! I have used this work-horse of a microphone for vocals, micing amps, micing drums, micing acoustic guitars, and it has performed FLAWLESSLY. The best part of it is, you don't need a high end tube pre-amp to get a professional sound out of it, I've gotten beautiful results from it with a Yamaha MG 10/2 mixing console! The high end isn't too peaky like it's big brother, the KSM 44, and its midrange and low end are well matched. This is DEFINATELY worth your money, regardless if you're running a small time home studio like myself, or a major set up, this is the mic to get!

Great all around Mic

By marcopolio

from Gresham, Or

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

This mic produces super-clean vocals, but also works great for micing guitar amps and even drums. This mic has the best value for the money if you need something for a beginning recording studio.

Shure KSM27

By HypnotiX

from Pensacola, Fl

Comments about Shure KSM27 Studio Condenser Microphone:

I own a Shure KSM27, i am a rapper, i have been doing this for a little over a year now. Well i started by using other people equipment, and of course that meant not alot of recording could be done. Anyhow, when I first purchased the KSM27 it just looked like a nice do more than get the job done microphone. Well i was right, and surprised by the power of this little mic. wich i heard retail is $669.00. Weather or not hats true i don't know but I will get back to the KSM27 now. It is a great choice for anyone just starting out or even later on in the future wen they have all more expensive soundboards, processor, etc. This microphone was a great buy! I highly recamend it to everyone that likes to record music.
