Comments about Shure BLX2/B58 Handheld Wireless Transmitter with Beta 58A Capsule:
I was first debating whether to simply buy the PG-series and call it a day. But I actually had the opportunity to hear them side by side off of the same BLX88 unit, and I have to say there is a significant difference in clarity. Someone mentioned to me if your going thinking of buying a wireless unit, either go low or go high, not in the middle (i.e. sm58). Although sm58 is a great unit i did not have an opportunity to test that one out and decided to go on the higher end of things with wireless transmitters. Setting it up takes about a minute: turn on the blx88 before turning on your transmitters so it can assign itself a channel and group, then turn on your transmitters (mics) and assign the correct channel and group to that of the BLX88. I am both a wedding DJ and Karaoke Dj and they have worked amazing so far.
