operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions:
the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level
(not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received
from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently
evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change.

ULX2/58 Handheld Transmitter Microphone The Shure ULX2/58 Handheld Transmitter Microphone is comprised of the ULX2 Wireless transmitter fitted with the SM58 microphone capsule.
The ULX2 features include a 3-segment battery fuel gauge, backlit LCD shows group and channel, frequency and power settings, control lockout, 8 hour battery life, and a 300 ft (92 m) operating range. The ULX2 transmitter is designed to allow for interchangeable microphone cartridges.
The Shure SM58 unidirectional (cardioid) dynamic vocal microphone is designed for professional vocal use in live performance, sound reinforcement, and studio recording. It has a tailored vocal response for a sound which is a world standard for singing or speech. A highly effective, built-in spherical filter minimizes wind and breath "pop" noise. A cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. It is consistently the first choice of performers everywhere.
WL185 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone The WL185 Lavalier electret condenser microphone was designed for use with a wireless body-pack transmitter. It has a 4 ft. (1.2 meter) cable terminated with a miniature 4-pin mini connector. The included tie clip can be rotated in 90 degree intervals for placement flexibility. (Use of windscreen highly recommended.)
Shure ULXS4 Standard Receiver The Shure ULXS4 Standard receiver offers an exceptional value in both performance and price, for both working musicians and sound installers. The feature set of the versatile ULXS4 receiver offers a direct path to full, clear audio signals, unencumbered and unattached.

We have/had six of these. One of them fell off the stage when it got bumped and broke in half. The body of the mic is made of plastic and if it gets hit hard enough it will crack. These sound great as you would expect from Shure. The antennas are small and when running sound in an outside env you will have nore issues with distance and getting the right freq for the area. But overal these are a great mics and receivers very easy to use and change freqs.
