I use my SM94's as overheads for every drumtrack I've ever recorded. The SM94 is a very robust mic... it's kind of like a point and shoot camera that's good at taking pictures of certain things. So far I use it most commonly for drum overheads and I use it with an AKG C3000B to record acoustic guitar. I put the SM94 over the 13th fret and it adds so much depth to the sound. One nice feature is the ability to use AA batteries inside instead of phantom power. It's not a feature I've ever needed (I've just used phantom power.) but not everyone has a mixer or good mic pre's so it's a good feature.
