music man

i never thought that nothing could replace my e 5's when they got stolen during tour, but i was really surprise of the quality of sound they delivered. I used them on the studio and on the road during tours for on stage my i pod or on the plane to watch movies on my computer. I'm still saving to get another set of e5 but i recommend to get this if you want a good sound of yourself on stage!!!!

Very Good but...

I had the older shure e2c and was mostly happy with them, so I picked these up a few weeks ago and at first I was disappointed with the sound quality and not being much better than the entry level, but I decided to give them a decent try any way, the quality improved after a few hours of break-in. they provide really good noise isolation, sound quality is very good, clear, vibrant, and accurate. They lack a bit on the bass side, but that is my preference.

Masters of clear audio

I play acoustic guitar at my church and we recently went to all in ear monitors. When we did this, the church bought all the band members e2 earphones. Those were incredible at the time. I recently bought a pair of scl4's and the difference from the e2's was night and day. Very much more clear, punchy bass, defined highs. Everything was incredible. I had been messing with the EQ's on my guitar for weeks (Garrison AG-400) but it had never sounded quite right. Then I got my scl4's and immediately i was able to get my tone set and even the sound guy commented on how good my guitar sounded. I have used these head phones with my Les Paul as well and they sound just as good. They sound great and are built to last. Super quality.

Awesome In-Ear phones

I own several in ear headphones including the SCL2s and the Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 3's. These are the smoothest sounding and most balanced earphones with a nicely extended bass response. But beware they ship with the silicone sleeves which provide the poorest isolation and bass response. For ultimate listening the compressible foam sleeves are a must. The most comfortable for me were the black rounded foam sleeves.

Blown away

I never knew just how much I was missing. My band rehearses and records in an old radio studio. We were using floor monitors (dumb) until we switched to the in-ear monitors. The SCL4 completely blew me away. I can even hear my bass strings on the frets. Nothing is missed. The band is actually improving since we switched since we can now hear all of our little mistakes. No problem with getting all the lows of the bass guitar or the kick drum. You simple have to use the correct earpiece. Fortunately, the SCL4 comes with several. I would recommend a small clip for the cord, however. If you use cord extensions as we do, it tends to pull the earpieces out of you ears. Other than that...WOW!
