Sounds GREAT!

I bought these as a step up from the apple ear buds that come with the ipod and it was more than i expected. they sound amazing, HUGE step up. I had bought some phillips "noise cancelling" ear buds but they are nothin compared to these. I HIGHLY reccomend them!

Shure = Express Your Sound: It did when I was a Kid, It still does today

The Shure SCL3, they sound great Shure…Express Your Sound When I was a young Teenager I played in a Garage Band. Like every other competition, we looked at the successful crews to see what equipment they were using. The very best sounds were coming from the groups using Shure equipment. Time has passed, I've used allot of equipment and played too many stages and too many studios. In fact, now my son's band has my set of Shure mic's (Shure still has a rep. for building the best sound equipment). I’ve used some of the other big brand names, names that were big in the sound recording and reproduction world, only to find their earphones good enough for my grandson, but not good enough for me. Not good enough to put their name on. But not the Shure SCL3, they sound great. I always thought a good tag line for Shure would be: Shure…Express Your Sound

Great!

I had purchased the M-Audio IE-20s as my first set of in-ear monitors. I found them to not fit my ears well with any of their ear-fitting, they were very cheaply made (as I feel most M-Audio products are), and I got no isolation-effect from them at all. They are also very bulky. The sound was decent, but nothing special. I even tried having custom ear molds made thinking that might bring out the beauty in them. It didn't. They would up breaking once, I had to super-glue them, then they broke a second time and this time beyond repair. All that makes sense as I'm listening to my new SCL3s. I'm glad I got those so I'd appreciate quality when I found it. I'm "shure" there are higher-end in-ears than this model, but as far as this price point, these mop the floor with the M-Audios. From the second I put them in my ears, I experienced the long-lost isolation I'd been seeking, they felt comfortable, and you can tell from the thick cables & moldings that these are built to last. You know how you can just sense when you have a quality product? That was how I felt when I tried these the first time. To people who are on the fence about which in-ears to buy, if your choices are between these two, I feel confident that almost everyone out there would come to the same conclusion I have.
