  • Perfect for drummers

As reviewed by Mike McAloon on 7/22/2009

I use these earphones to hear my click track playing live, and to practice along to cds. They come with a fit kit with 9 different sizes and types of covers. I like the orange foam ones because they isolate alot of sound and are comfortable to wear. These headphones do the job for the price. They could have a little more bass response, and the cord is really short. I will still use these in the studio for recording drums because they have better isolation than ear phones and you can save your hearing.

  • spend a little more for the scl-3

As reviewed by seth on 7/31/2009

i got these phones when they came with the psm200 personal monitor system. they did the job for a while, but then i stepped on them and decided to buy the scl-3... night and day difference... the scl2 sounds hollow and tinny, with little to no bass... also the waxguards are a pain and if you run out you have to order them. the scl-3 are smaller, lighter, sound better and only a little more. i have since moved up to the scl-4 and those are pretty good, better bass than the 3. if you play any instrument you most likely will not be happy with the scl2. i sing and play guitar. do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more for a better quality set.

These are awesome in-ears. I have tried many ear monitors and these by far cut the noise level down the farthest for this price. I use the the foam type buds. i would highly recommend if your a drummer on a limited budget.
