Better than some more expensive units

Well the SM58 is an excellent mic. This is a must have mic for any active musician. This mic is excellent for stage use. This mic has been my main stage mic for over 15 years. The SM58 is built tough enough to stand up against years of abuse. If you play live you need to have this mic. The reciever unit does very well for an inexpensive unit. The recever is tough but it will not survive being dropped several times (I have broke 2 of them). The unit seems to do a very good job at maintaining a strong signal and it transmits sound very well compared to other units in its price range. I believe you will be satisfied with this unit.

SHURE says it all!!!!!!

I have owned many mics in my short career as a vocalist and this one by far has the greatest sound and capabilties. I really like the fact that I can get away from the rest of my noisy band so that I can hear everything clearly. At times I will go out side while we are having practice and smoke a cigarette and they rest of the guys never notice that I am gone!!! This mic does a great job of delivering the frequency exactly where it needs to go!!! If you are a wandering vocalist this is for you or if you need to get away from the noise to hear better this is also for you!!! All around worth the $$$$ plus I bought the service plan so if it breaks which I am sure that it wont they will replace it!!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!!! Great sound and great clarity!!!!!

Overall great set up

Great sound. A little problem with interference but probably was my set up. Great distance. Worker with two of them in the rain and on the sand at Catalina Island, they worked through the whole thing.

It's more than worth it...

I started out using less expensive wireless mics for my karaoke show. I have a wired SM-58 and prefer it to my other wired mics. I was looking for something that sounded similar so I bit the bullet and spent twice what I had spent on other wireless for the PGX system. It's a no brainer...There is little difference in sound quality between the wired and wireless SM-58's. Sure (pun intended) it costs more, but the build and sonic quality more than makes up for the cost differnce.
