this is definatly the best wireless guitar setup ever for the price. it does give allitle more feedback and distortion than a straight cable but if playing metal it actually adds somewhat to that sound. the battery life is great. about 8 hours and you can go about 200 feet away from the reciever.
I tried a Samson wireless stomp box type system that said it reached like 300 feet and as soon as I walked like 20 feet I started to hear noise and I'm not exaggerating... after that disappointment I decided to get this shure system and got no noise what so ever just a bright nice sound, boy I'm glad I bought this product that hasn't let me down.
The PGX-14 is very easy to set up and provides outstanding sound quality. After seeing a friends band play with these I picked one up and have been very happy. I play a Geddy Jazz through a SWR-SM 500 and it sounds better with the wireless than it did with a Monster Cable. The battery life is about what the manual says ~ 8 hours. Pick one up you will not be dissapointed.
