Great for Vocal!

I have used this mic with my band for practice and playing at Parties and it sounds great. For the price you can't beat the quality and sound you get form this mic, plus it's a Shure. I would definately recommend this to other musicians that can't afford those $200 and $300 mics.

Good but not Great

Basically, you get what you pay for. It's fairly well constructed and solid, and thus very durable. It's also a bit more sensitive than other mics in this price range, so it's louder than other mics on my cheap karaoke player. The bottom line, however, is that it just doesn't sound that great. I own this as well as the Sennheiser 815s, which is slightly more expensive, but offers a much clearer sound and better noise isolation from handling the mic. Also, the Sennheiser is less prone to feedback noise. Side by side, the Sennheiser 815 sounded better.
