This is a VERY high quality mic for an extremely affordable price. I must admit, I don't have a lot of knowledge about microphones, but I've used a few regular consumer mics which more or less, got the job done, but this makes a world of difference. Great audio quality and clarity. the 20dB pad is great for recording Drums or loud instruments. Great mic! I recommend buying it with the Shure X2u XLR interface if you plan on recording via USB.
