Affordable Shure-quality wireless for active presenters.

The Shure PG14/PG30 Performance Gear Wireless Headset Microphone System includes the PG4 Diversity Receiver, PG1 Bodypack Transmitter, and PG30TQG Headset Condenser for aerobic and active spoken word or singing applications.

The PG4 Diversity Receiver features dual internal 1/4" antennas that eliminate potential for antenna misalignment and damage. It uses a variable companding ratio based on Shure's patented Audio Reference Companding and delivers a cleaner, less noisy signal that's more true-to-life than 2:1 companding.

The PG1 Bodypack Transmitter has a transmitter lockout function to prevent accidental shut down, a mute, and gain control.

The PG30TQG Headset Condenser Mic connects easily to the PG1 and provides clear vocals for active presenters and vocalists.

With the Shure Performance Gear PG Series Wireless systems you get a reliable, portable system with up to 10 selectable frequencies and frequency agility.

  • Does a good job...

As reviewed by Jay on 4/9/2008

Drummer/backup vocalist: I ordered it online and it came in good working condition (always a plus with electronic stuff). It was very easy to set up and synchronize. Although I use this wireless mic in close proximity to its diversity receiver, the quality of the audio I think could be improved. Voice did not sound as crisp as with other lower quality mics. The little foam piece that covers the condenser mic does fall too easily. It is light weight and fitted comfortably around my head but after a while, you'll feel the metal string behind your ear and will have to adjust it to make it comfortable.

  • good sound quality

As reviewed by Gretchen on 7/15/2009

sound quality is good, though I needed to get used to changing the settings on my mixer to sound clearer. The clip on the body transmitter is pretty bad, doesn't stay on my waistband when doing high impact moves like skipping, sudden directional changes, etc. (I'm a Jazzercise instructor, but even though it's hit the floor a few times after flying off, it's still doing OK. Also, after wearing heavier, more solid-type headset, this one seems flimsy and slips around easily, hard to adjust to my little head and the length of the mouthpiece is a little short, less wiggle room for adjustment. Also notice breathing, P-sounds are much louder, and once again, hard to adjust the mouthpiece to prevent this. Overall, I suppose I'm happy with it. Wish I could have afforded a better quality mic though.

  • Great multi purpose headset

As reviewed by Tom Brancheau on 12/30/2009

Bought for musical and theatrical performances.Works great! Good projection into a large room, no feedback, the price is right. Be sure to read instructions, and to have correct frequencies, and channels if using more than one. Switch settings on BOTH devices have to be on same frequencies.
