Music to my ears

I'm deaf in one ear and being a drummer sitting ever with the amps or behind them makes it hard to hear. The first gig using the Shure PSM 200 in ear was like waking up to a whole new world of music, at first I was waiting for something to drop out or change but though the night everthing sounded good, even the band mentioned how well I was playin. It made a difference.

A good system that is cost effective

The Shure PSM200 is a decent wireless monitoring system. I guess when you do a cost comparison it is very good since it is less expensive. First I have to mention that the unit tends to lose signal on occasion. The unit has changeable frequencies so that several people can use them at the same time. The earphones are very good, they are comfortable and they sound pretty good. The whole package was constructed well so it should last a long time. The unit provides a cost-effective ear-monitoring alternative to the standard. This is very cost effective while saving your ears in the long run. The only complaint I have is that the receiver loses signal on occasion (but usually for just a short time).

Not for use in rack mount for live use

I received a PSM 200 wireless monitor for a gift that I have use for the past month. Shure, was chosen because I own several shure wireless units. Don't you think you should have put an on/off switch since you advertise this in the brochure/manual? I also found this unit advertise as rack mount system but not designed as one. What were you thinking when you put the only inputs on the front of the unit. Now I have to pull a cord through a rack space, or around the rack unit. For a $600 unit, some forethought should have been put in the product or advertised differently. I have been disappointed in this from the time I started using it. If it was a cheep little toy to play around with it would not be such a big deal. I try to rely on the products I use every night, but have found this product unreliable, by design and use in a live setting. This is not the Shure quality or design I know. You have me questioning future products from shure.

Best for Price!

Has a very good frequency range, and the fact that it's frequency agile makes it worth even more. Also, when you're on the road and playing a small venue, multiple transmitters can be plugged through each other allowing for slightly different mixes on small mixers
